As a student in Aachen I spent a total of 3 1 / 2 years in Fizz, of which 2 1 / 2 years in this apartment. In my opinion, this apartment offers the best price-performance ratio in the entire Fizz- complex, which is why I was all the more pleased to be able to move here in another apartment after one year.

The apartment is located on the second floor and offers a view of the street. This means you have a lot of privacy, because you don't have to share the view with other Fizz- residents on the courtyard. Instead, you can look at the beautiful, large trees along the quiet barracks road. The complex is a new building (opened in 2021), which has the great advantage of not having to deal with the typical problems of old buildings such as outdated water or heating lines or noise pollution. In summer the apartment is ideally located: The sun only shines in the morning, the rest of the day the room remains pleasant in the shade.

The apartment was in excellent condition from the beginning. If a flaw occurs, you can report it directly to the office on the ground floor or by e-mail, and the problem is fixed immediately. For me, life in Fizz felt a little like a stay in a hotel - just completely undisturbed.

As part of a student residence, there are also various common rooms, such as the Common Room, the Gaming Room, the Community Kitchen and a table tennis area. Nevertheless, you have the privacy of a private kitchenette with a microwave, stove and sink and a private bathroom, which in my opinion would be sufficient for two people. Depending on your desire and mood, you can mix with people, make new friendships or just charge your social battery and withdraw.

In general, the apartment is completely pre-furnished and you just have to bring your own suitcase. Available in the living room: a desk, 2 chairs, a round dining table, a standing lamp, a bed 2m x 1.4m, a shelf (as wide as the bed), a 3-part closet;
in the entrance area: clothing hooks, mirrors;
in the cooking area: kitchenette with 2-plate induction stove, sink, refrigerator, trash bin, closet (under the stove), 6-part shelf, microwave (with barbecue function);
in the bathroom: shower, toilet, sink, room-wide mirror with a uniform storage.

I can only warmly recommend this apartment.

Als Studentin in Aachen habe ich insgesamt 3 1/2 Jahre im Fizz verbracht, davon 2 1/2 Jahre in dieser Wohnung. Meiner Meinung nach bietet diese Wohnung im gesamten Fizz-Komplex das beste Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis, weshalb ich mich damals umso mehr gefreut habe, nach einem Jahr in einer anderen Wohnung hierher ziehen zu können.

Die Wohnung befindet sich im 2. Stock und bietet einen Blick auf die Straße. Das bedeutet, man hat viel Privatsphäre, da man die Aussicht nicht mit anderen Fizz-Bewohnern auf den Innenhof teilen muss. Stattdessen blickt man auf die schönen, großen Bäume entlang der ruhigen Kasernenstraße. Der Komplex ist ein Neubau (eröffnet 2021), was den großen Vorteil hat, dass man sich nicht mit den typischen Problemen von Altbauten wie veralteten Wasser- oder Heizungsleitungen oder Lärmbelästigung auseinandersetzen muss. Im Sommer ist die Wohnung ideal gelegen: Die Sonne scheint nur morgens kurz hinein, den Rest des Tages bleibt das Zimmer angenehm im Schatten.

Die Wohnung war von Anfang an in einem hervorragenden Zustand. Sollte dennoch einmal ein Makel auftreten, kann man das direkt im Office im Erdgeschoss oder per E-Mail melden, und das Problem wird sofort behoben. Für mich fühlte sich das Leben im Fizz ein bisschen wie ein Aufenthalt in einem Hotel an – nur eben vollkommen ungestört.

Als Teil eines Studentenwohnheims gibt es außerdem verschiedene Gemeinschaftsräume, wie den Common Room, den Gaming Room, die Community Kitchen und einen Tischtennisplatz. Trotzdem hat man die Privatsphäre einer eigenen Kochnische mit Mikrowelle, Herd und Spüle sowie ein eigenes Bad, das meiner Meinung nach auch für zwei Personen ausreichend groß wäre. Je nach Lust und Laune kann man sich unter Menschen mischen, neue Freundschaften schließen oder einfach mal seine soziale Batterie aufladen und sich zurückziehen.

Generell ist die Wohnung komplett vormöbelliert und man muss eigentlich nur einen eigenen Koffer mitbringen. Vorhanden sind im Wohn-Schlafbereich: ein Schreibtisch, 2 Stühle, ein runder Esstisch, eine Stehlampe, ein Bett 2m x 1,4m, ein Regal (so breit, wie das Bett), ein 3-teiliger Schrank;
im Eingangsbereich: Kleiderhaken, Spiegel;
im Kochbereich: Küchenzeile mit 2-Platten Induktionsherd, Spüle, Kühlschrank, Mülleimer, Schrank (unterm Herd), 6-teiliges Regal, Mikrowelle (mit Grillfunktion);
im Bad: Dusche, WC, Waschbecken, raumbreiter Spiegel mit gleichbreiter Ablage.

Ich kann diese Wohnung nur wärmstens empfehlen.
