My name is Martine Lyimo, a PhD scholar from Arusha, Tanzania coming to Oldenburg University for a 6-month exchange program (April 1 - October 1, 2025) in Electronics Engineering. I'm desperately searching for affordable accommodation.

After being selected as one of the top academic performers in my program, I have been awarded a once-in-a-lifetime scholarship opportunity to study at Oldenburg. This incredible chance for academic growth and international exchange is a dream come true, but there is just one obstacle standing in my way: finding a place to live.

I come from Arusha, which sits directly at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro and serves as the gateway to Tanzania's most amazing safari experiences. Growing up in this beautiful region, I have had the privilege of experiencing our incredible wildlife and natural wonders firsthand experiences and I love sharing with new friends

I am not just only clean, quiet, and respectful but also an amazing cook who can prepare authentic Tanzanian dishes that will transport you to East Africa with just one bite. My friends always say my pilau rice and mishkaki (Tanzanian kebabs) are life-changing.

Beyond cooking, I have countless fascinating stories from my homeland - tales of climbing Kilimanjaro, encountering elephants and lions on safari, and the vibrant culture of Tanzania. I am always happy to exchange cultural experiences and create memorable evenings with flat mates.
