Ich suche nach einem WG-Zimmer in Berlin.

Hi,

I'm Mariko, been in Berlin for 4 years now and working as a ceramicist.
Currently searching for a flat in east side Berlin to move into from April 2024.

About me:
I was born and raised in Hokkaido, a northern region of Japan. When I was 4 years old, I spent a year and a half in Maryland, USA (so I speak English with a fairly American accent), and this experience sparked my interest in living abroad. In my twenties, I lived in Canada and Ireland for a period as well.
Considering my duration of living in Berlin, I'm seriously contemplating taking a German language course again to improve my proficiency for a better life here. But it's always a matter of time since I've dedicated all my time and energy to my business. Let's see if I could make it in 2024..:)
In 2019, I relocated to Berlin shortly after completing my ceramic apprenticeship in Japan. Thereafter, I have been actively working as a ceramicist both in Germany and abroad until today.
At the moment, my own atelier is located in Berlin-Schöneweide where my production and classes take place (I'm actually in the process of looking for a new atelier as well).

I'm calm, peaceful, optimistic, a balanced person, a good communicator who loves my own job and life.
As a self-employed individual, I don't have much leisure time, but I love cooking, baking sweets, and knitting socks.
Apart from that, I love and enjoy spending time with my friends with various races and backgrounds sharing the everyday moments of life.

I have lived in some different shared flats in the past several years, so I can say that I'm accustomed to communal living.
I believe that respecting & caring others is crucial in WG life. When time allows, engaging in meaningful conversations and coming together as a team are also necessary and I'm looking forward to be a part of such community. I hope we can share a harmonious communal life with the right balance and comfortable distance.
Also, cleanliness is important to me since spending quality time at home really means a lot as it is a space where I can unwind and get my energy charged, then I can perform at work to the fullest.
