Hello! We are a 5-person WG, with a cozy, spacious living room, a fully equipped kitchen extended by a sunny balcony. The room is about 14 m², with a nice wooden floor, and without furniture. The view is on the famous Sedancafé and the nice roofs of the street. The room is perfect for a person trying to live without too many material belongings and not too sensitive to noises as the walls in the flat are not the thickest.
The flat is very central, located between the train station and the Platz der alten Synagogue (where open-air activities and various demonstrations often take place). The area has many bars, zero waste & eco shops, cafés, restaurants, bike repair shops, etc! The street is relatively quiet for a city-center location.
About your future flatmates:
- Adrien, French guy, is a web developer working for an environmental NGO, he loves permaculture, health and political topics, reading, and playing games. He is also the Hauptmieter and is almost vegan.
- Sara, Swiss girl, is the dog owner and is a geographer / urban planner working for the same NGO. She comes from Geneva and likes to travel, hike, animals, kombucha experiments, painting, and crafting. She is also almost vegan.
- Julien, or Juju, German guy, is a medical student, pretty convenient if you need first aid assistance in the flat.
Likes sports, biking, the occasional beer and hiking.
- Miriam, German girl, is a physic genius able to repair anything in the flat. Proper Freiburger, she loves biking and her sourdough Marvin. She is vegetarian.
- Aru is a rescued dog from the streets of Sri Lanka. Because her tough past, she needs time to turn playful and cuddly with new people. She is much like a dog-cat, sleeping a lot and chasing her toys. She is very quiet in the flat. Never barks, we don't even know if she can :D
We all get along well, sharing values of care, support, respect, ecology, and cleanliness. We spend quite some time together since we are often doing home office or home university. Although we have different personalities and lives, it's nice to meet naturally in the evenings, to cook and/or chat whenever it matches. We also propose to each other some veggie/vegan dinner or another activity now and then (eg. sushis or pizza nights, documentary/movie, board games, puzzles, pilates session, crafting, etc).
Being pretty multicultural, we mostly speak English in the WG, but you may grasp conversations in French, Romanian, and even Italian. We are eager to learn new languages and cultures. So get in touch !
To complete our WG, we are looking for an extra human who is mindful of others, open-minded, clean, environmentally responsible, independent, and rather calm during the week to respect the full-time workers, but eager to share some time, activities, and ideas together!
