The Frankie is considered the most beautiful corner of Aachen. Beautiful building, beautiful shops and a very nice park right around the corner. Nevertheless, buses from the stop Normaluhr (5min) and the Hbf (10min walkway) are super connected. Via the Theaterstraße you get to the city centre and the university main building is about 10 minutes by bike. We also live directly above a kiosk and the first beautiful bar (Dumont) is not 2 minutes away.

Das Frankie gilt als schönste Ecke Aachens. Schöne Gebäude, schöne Läden und ein sehr nicer Park direkt um die Ecke. Trotzdem ist man mit Bussen ab der Haltestelle Normaluhr (5min) und dem Hbf (10min Fußweg) super angebunden. Über die Theaterstraße kommt man schnell in die Innenstadt und das Uni-Hauptgebäude ist ca. 10 Minuten mit dem Fahrrad entfernt. Außerdem wohnen wir direkt über einem Kiosk und die erste schöne Bar (Dumont) ist keine 2 min entfernt.

Ty(ler): is passionate cameraman and sometimes for days on the go. When he's at home he likes to cook, sometimes vietnamese food for the whole WG and is the Dad Joke responsible.

Nils: is in the 5th semester of his studies in computer science and especially in Copenhagen for his semester abroad (until June). He likes to jog and loves sports like football or formula 1. Otherwise, Nils is always to have for skates, a round of billiards or exciting discussions.

Emma: has just started her medical studies and is always for a chat. She likes playing volleyball and loves to try new sports - whether yoga, surfing, running or hockey. On a relaxed evening she likes to read a new book or knit a sweater.

Generally, we are a rather active WG. From billiards, beer bachelor and celebrate until the relaxed movie evening and WG Advent Calendar in the Christmas season. Of course, you always have a retreat and rest when you need it. So, especially as Newbie in the city, you have a very cool entry. :

Ty(ler): ist passionierter Kameramann und manchmal tagelang für Drehs unterwegs. Wenn er zu Hause ist zockt er gern, kocht manchmal vietnamesisches Essen für die ganze WG und ist der Dad-Joke-Verantwortliche.

Nils: ist im 5. Semester seines Informatikstudiums und gerade in Kopenhagen für sein Auslandssemester (bis Juni). Er geht gerne joggen und begeistert sich für Sport wie Fußball oder Formel 1. Ansonsten ist Nils immer zu haben für Schlittschuhlaufen, eine Runde Billard oder spannende Diskussionen.

Emma: hat gerade mit ihrem Medizinstudium begonnen und ist immer für ein Pläuschchen zu haben. Sie spielt gerne Volleyball und liebt es neue Sportarten auszuprobieren - ob Yoga, Surfen, Laufen oder Eishockey. An einem entspannten Abend liest sie gerne ein neues Buch oder strickt sich einen Pulli.

Generell sind wir eine ziemlich aktive WG. Von Billard, Bier Bachelor und feiern bis zum entspannten Filmabend und WG-Adventskalender in der Weihnachtszeit. Natürlich hat man trotzdem immer einen Rückzugsort und seine Ruhe, wenn man sie braucht. Also hat man besonders als Newbie in der Stadt hier einen sehr coolen Einstiegsort. :)

Our apartment has many shared spaces which makes the apartment very airy despite 5 people and you can still chill together very relaxed.

The "cold rent" includes everything from internet to gas and heating costs. Since last year we have added a new refrigerator and a new washing machine, a small discount payment would be required. However, we do not yet know exactly how much it will be.

Unsere Wohnung hat viele shared spaces was die Wohnung trotz 5 Menschen sehr luftig sein lässt und man kann trotzdem sehr entspannt zusammen chillen.

Die "Kaltmiete" beinhaltet alles von Internet bis Gas- und Heizkosten. Da wir uns letztes Jahr einen neuen Kühlschrank und eine neue Waschmaschine zugelegt haben, würde dafür noch eine kleine Abschlagszahlung fällig. Allerdings wissen wir noch nicht exakt auf wie viel es sich belaufen wird.
