The room for rent is very spacious, has high ceilings and windows and is fully furnished. In addition to a bed/wardrobe and wardrobe, the room also has a cosy couch/sitting area including a TV and a height-adjustable desk with screen, which is ideal for a home office.
The flat also consists of an entrance area/hallway, a fully equipped kitchen, a living and dining room (including a sofa bed, which can also be used occasionally as a guest room for visitors), a fully equipped and functional bathroom including a washing machine and the room of my flatmate (Elena).
The flat is beautifully located in the heart of the popular Friedrichshain district in the immediate vicinity of Boxhagener Platz, where a market (Sat) and flea market (Sun) take place at the weekend. There are countless nice bars, cafes and some of Berlin's best restaurants in the immediate vicinity of the flat.
Although located in the centre of lively Friedrichshain, the flat itself is in a rather quiet side street. There are bus and tram stops right outside the door (connection to Ostbahnhof/Warschauer Straße), and the Samariterstraße underground station (U5) is approx. 7 minutes‘ walk away and Ostkreuz (Ringbahn/light rail/regional transport) approx. 10 minutes’ walk away.
My flatmate (Elena) and I have enjoyed living together in our beautiful shared flat for over 2 years. We have both lived in shared flats for a long time before and enjoy living together. Elena and I both work and value respectful interaction, good communication and tidiness and cleanliness. Elena works from home a lot and is therefore also at home quite a lot during the week.
We have a lively and active flat-share life, do sports together and often spontaneously spend the quieter evenings together in the flat share. Apart from that, we are both very active and, as new Berliners, enjoy the advantages of this great city - e.g. the huge gastronomic and cultural offerings and the many clubs in East Berlin. We also both like to do a lot of sport (during your stay here, Elena will probably be preparing for another half marathon).
The other usual phrases (cooking together / not a functional flat share, but if you need peace and quiet, you get it etc.) also fit, but I'll spare you and me repeating them all here.

My room is available for subletting as I am taking the opportunity to travel before starting my new job.
