Our wonderful Félix found is own affordable apartment in Berlin (wild, I know.) and is sadly moving on. So now his beautiful, bright room is available as of January 1st (but it might be possible to move in a bit sooner). The room comes unfurnished except for a chest of drawers and we can lend you a futton until you get your own bed etc.
Please ONLY keep reading and apply if:
- are at least 28 years old
- have a full time job
- do not mind coal heating (every room has its own oven)
- do not smoke at home
- want to stay at least a year
- are very clean and tidy
The room has two big windows, wooden floors and it’s super quiet but still you are in the coolest neighbourhood of Berlin. Plus it‘s „sound proof“ - you don‘t hear the other room mates in your space :)
The location is amazing. In the heart of Kreuzberg, yet the apartment feels calm. Plenty of supermarkets, gyms, yoga studies, clubs, bars, cafes and restaurants around. The canal is super close and perfect for running, plus there is a big pool across the street. Honestly I wouldn't want to live anywhere else in Berlin...
Sep, a lovely Iranian guy with an infectious laugh, who works in tech and often travels has been living here for three years. Katharina just finished her master's in film directing and has been living here the longest and is the Hauptmieterin. We're both in our 30s, get along really well, joke a lot, try each other's food from time to time and have random profound kitchen conversations. The rooms are each big enough that we each fully have our own space, which is wonderful and we both really love the apartment and hope to find someone who feels the same!
It's important to me that you have a full time job (preferably something legal that gets you out of the house sometimes ;)) or a full time post graduate and don't come to Berlin to party and lose yourself (no judgment, just not our home vibe).
The price (€580) includes everything except the coal. Officially this is the last winter that we will have coal heating and next year they will put central heating in the entire building and we still have enough coal left until spring. It's an old school way of heating but actually quite charming especially that you'll only have to do one last winter :)
We also have someone who comes to clean the house every other week (included in the rent). The whole apartment is fully equipped but you need to be open to buy new things when needed - f.ex. if the washing machine breaks, we split the bill and get a new one. You think we need more water glasses - get them ;)
This is a classic Untermiete (sublease) with Anmeldung (registration), so all legal.
