Welcome:)! The room you will be subletting is 15m2 in a 84m2 neubau.
The room will be available for 2 weeks from February 1st to February 15th for a total rent of €480. The time frame can be discussed if you need the place for a couple of days longer or shorter or potentially for the entire February if you really need it for the whole month(€950).
The room is fully furnished with a double bed, closet with a full-body mirror, shelf bedside table and a desk. The room comes with a big floor-to-ceiling window so it's always bright and it is equipped with a built-in window that blends into the wall outside which can turn the room pitch-dark even during the middle of the day (don't know about you but napping after lunch is SUBLIME)
The entire apartment is fully furnished with a living room, an open kitchen with all the needed electronic appliances, a bathroom with a bathtub, and a laundry/storage room. There's a dishwasher, washing machine, and floor heating. For entertainment, we love music so, besides the smart TV, we also have a vinyl record player and 2 microphones for some little jamming fun sometimes.
We also have a cellar in the basement if you have some bigger items you would need to store away during your subletting period.
The apartment is located right at the edge of Mitte and Prenzlaurberg located at Kollwitzkiez near Ubahn Rosa Luxemburg Platz. We have an Edeka right downstairs of our building and you can access it through the basement if it's a rainy day.
There are plenty of (really good) restaurants, bars, gyms, parks, and cafes in the neighborhood. SoHo House is within 5-minute walking distance if that's your thing.
Whenever you're on a shopping spree, the Hackescher Markt or Alexanderplatz area is within 10 minutes of walking distance. You can access pretty much everything nearby with a bike in under 10 minutes and the Ubahn and Tram station is only 3 minutes walking distance away.
The best part is that we are close to everything but still have the luxury of peace and silence in the compound we are located in.
Keeping the apartment clean and tidy and clean after yourself in the shared space is the highest priority.
Mac, who will be your only flatmate, is 29 years old and he is a business profession who founded a art collective called Ritmo Gabar. Mac was born in Myanmar, raised in Singapore, educated, and worked in New York. He has been living in Berlin for 4 years and he actually manages to speak A2 level German for now we'll see if he'll ever give up. Despite his work, Mac loves drawing, typography design, singing, indie film, film camera and skateboarding.
