Ground floor

Room

Room in Neukölln between the station S+U Neukölln and Richardplatz. It's very Neukölln-y here. There's a Späti across the street. You get the idea.

The room is in a renovated ground floor flat in a 2er WG. The room is unfurnished. The flat consists of two bedrooms, a kitchen, a bathroom, a hallway and an entryway. There is also some cellar space where you'd be able to store things. Anmeldung is possible and actually preferred. The contract would first be for 6 months, so that we can get an idea if things are working, and then after could be extended. This would just be a bit of a trial period ("Probezeit") for the both of us. In my experience, you really only know if a WG is going to work once people have moved in and you've all tried it out for a while.

As for me, I'm a 32-year-old classical musician from the U.S. whose life revolves around music. I've lived in Germany for 8 years and speak German fluently ("verhandlungssicher", in fact). One important point I want to be up front about: I have a piano here and do practice quite a bit. This means that during the daytime, you would be hearing music from Bach, Mozart, etc. If your find that disturbing, then this is probably not the room for you. It's not extremely loud because I dampen the piano, but I still want to make that clear. That's pretty much the only thing I do that really generates noise. Otherwise, I like to cook, read, learn languages, play chess and just chill. I don't do drugs and don't throw parties.

If you are interested, we can have a chat and discuss things and then try out a Zoom viewing first. In-person would also be possible but only starting this weekend. Contact me through WG-gesucht, and I'll try to get back to you asap. Forgive me if you don't get a response, but so many people end up writing, and it's not easy to address everyone. Good luck with your search and may your Berlin dreams come true!
