Hey you reading this. Yes you!
I studied media informatics in Tübingen, was self-employed for the last 3 years, worked with ESA and tried building a startup until the market regulated us out of it.
I'm a visual jockey, digital artist and event manager by hobby. After 6 years of VJing in a club and for bands, travelling around and shoving my art into other people's faces and organizing state funded experimental audio-visual festivals I wanted to do even more of that - at least to some degree: I'll start working as a software engineer for a company that created the software I use for VJing which makes me preeeetty excited and very happy!
I lived by my own for the last 6 months, but before that, I lived in different shared flats with 2 - 9 people. This is important for me:
- Communication. When there's something wrong or annoying, talk about it. No passive-agressive behaviour.
- Compromises. I know people have different routines, lifes and ideas about cleanliness. Finding the sweet spot is important.
- Empathy. Because, you know, it's a shared flat. Can't share without empathy.
- Open-mindedness. I like connecting with all sorts of people without resentment.
- Fairness. Never had a shopping or cleaning plan, everything always worked out because of communication. But I'm open to use both.
P.S.: My ToDo list for the next couple of years in Den Haag:
- Learn Dutch
- Learn how to surf
- Learn how to sew
- All the museums
- Not living under a bridge
- Concerts at Gekke Geit and Paardcafé
- Art stuff at The Grey Space
- Party at PIP
- Beers everywhere
- Buy too much weird stuff at Kringloops
- Find best coffee which is way too expensive
