Even if the house consists of 4 single WGs, which regulate many things among themselves, such as purchase, cleaning plan, etc., we are still a house community and try to make our living together community and as low as possible as possible in a hierarchical and non-discriminatory way. There will be a lot of exchanges between the floors, a date for activities inside and outside the house, together in our garden at the campfire or in the park next door, parties organized in our basement and garden or joint film evenings etc. But if you need your rest, it's just as okay, and your room is always your own retreat room.

We as WUMS are part of the rental house syndicate (https: / / www.syndikat.org /). This means, in short, that the house belongs to the people living in it together. So we are our own landlords: inside and therefore also take over all the tasks associated with it. This has the advantage that we can decide and shape many things ourselves, but is also a lot of work. We would also like to see future roommates actively involved in the house, because this is the only way self-government can work. But don't worry, not to get a lot of tasks started immediately with the move in, but people can grow into it slowly.
Once a week, we meet for the house plenum to discuss what to do, how to distribute the tasks we have, or whether people need support in their tasks.

Auch wenn das Haus aus 4 einzelnen WGs besteht, die viele Dinge wie Einkauf, Putzplan etc. unter sich regeln, sind wir trotzdem eine Hausgemeinschaft und versuchen unser Zusammenleben gemeinschaftlich und möglichst hierarchiearm und diskriminierungsfrei zu gestalten. Es wird sich viel zwischen den Etagen ausgetauscht, für Unternehmungen innerhalb und außerhalb des Hauses verabredet, gemeinsam in unserem Garten am Lagerfeuer oder im Park nebenan herumgehangen, Partys in unserem Keller und Garten oder gemeinsame Filmabende organisiert etc. Aber wenn du mal deine Ruhe brauchst ist das genauso okay und dein Zimmer bleibt immer dein eigener Rückzugsraum.

Wir als WUMS sind Teil des Mietshäuser-Syndikats (https://www.syndikat.org/). Das bedeutet ganz kurz zusammengefasst, dass das Haus den darin wohnenden Menschen gemeinschaftlich gehört. Wir sind also unsere eigenen Vermieter:innen und übernehmen deshalb auch alle Aufgaben, die damit verbunden sind selbst. Das hat den Vorteil, dass wir viele Dinge selbst entscheiden und gestalten können, ist aber auch viel Arbeit. Auch von zukünftigen Mitbewohnis würden wir uns wünschen, dass sie sich aktiv im Haus mit einbringen, denn nur so kann Selbstverwaltung funktionieren. Aber keine Sorge, zu wirst nicht mit Einzug sofort einen Haufen Aufgaben aufgebrummt bekommen, sondern mensch kann da langsam reinwachsen.
Einmal in der Woche treffen wir uns zum Hausplenum um zu besprechen, was gerade zu tun ist, wie wir die anfallenden Aufgaben verteilen oder ob Menschen bei ihren Aufgaben Unterstützung brauchen.

Derzeit befinden wir uns aus zweierlei Gründen in einer Ausnahmesituation:
Zum ersten wohnen wir gerade auf einer Baustelle. Unser Dach muss erneuert werden und im Zuge dessen möchten wir auch unseren gemütlichen Dachboden, der sonst oft als Wohnzimmer, zum Filmschauen oder für gemeinsames Lernen und Arbeiten genutzt wird, noch gemütlicher gestalten.
Deshalb ist es zur Zeit oft etwas lauter und trubeliger und es gibt mehr Aufgaben als sonst. Aber das ist nur ein vorübergehender Zustand und wird voraussichtlich bald fertig sein..

Unsere Miete verteilen wir solidarisch und unabhängig von der Zimmergröße. Deine genaue Miete kannst du also ein Stück weit mitbestimmen. Genaueres erklären wir dir gerne!

We are currently in an exceptional situation for two reasons:
Firstly, we are currently living on a building site. Our roof has to be renovated and in the course of this we also want to make our cozy attic, which is otherwise often used as a living room, for watching films or for studying and working together, even more comfortable.
That's why it's often a bit louder and busier at the moment and there are more tasks than usual. But this is only a temporary situation and is expected to be completed soon.
