Our location is absolutely pointed. Through the Schwabentor through the direction Oberlinden. In this way, it is nicely central, but at the same time you get relaxed from the front door.
To reach the next train (line 1), it is basically enough to run off when you hear them down. But the best way to take the bike is to get you out of the inner city center :). In order to get to the university buildings it is not even worth that, most are within walking distance in 5 minutes.
Highlights in the immediate vicinity:
1. Morning croissants smell from the Macaronerie down in the house (Attention, the Pain au chocolat is already damn good...)
2. Delicious coffee in Tilia. 20m walkway, Franzi already knows the WG ;).
3. And last but not least, 30m to the Oberlinden-Brot!

Shopping is the most annoying at location. Aldi and Rewe walk 6min. Sucks, but :D.

To summarize the situation, one of our beloved window frame solar sessions looked so cozy that it was documented by a Japanese television team down from the Salzstraße :D.

Unsere Lage ist absolut spitze. Durch´s Schwabentor durch Richtung Oberlinden. Insofern schön zentral, gleichzeitig kommt man aber auch am Wochenende noch entspannt aus der Haustüre.
Um die nächste Bahn zu erreichen (Linie 1) reicht es im Grunde loszurennen, wenn man sie unten einfahren hört. Aber am besten einfach das Fahrrad nehmen, damit ist man auch direkt aus dem inneren Stadtkern draußen :). Um zu den Unigebäuden zu kommen lohnt sich aber nichtmal das, die meisten sind fußläufig in 5 Minuten erreichbar.
Highlights in unmittelbarer Nachbarschaft:
1. Morgendlicher Croissants-Geruch aus der Macaronerie unten im Haus (Achtung, das Pain au chocolat ist schon verdammt gut...)
2. Leckerer Kaffee im Tilia. 20m Gehweg, Franzi kennt die WG bereits ;).
3. Und last but not least, 30m zum Oberlinden-Brot!

Einkaufen ist das nervigste an der Lage. Aldi und Rewe fußläufig 6min Gehzeit. Sucks, aber verkraftbar :D.

Um die Lage zusammenzufassen, eine unsere geliebten Fensterrahmen-Sonnen-Sessions sah wohl so gemütlich aus, dass sie von einem japanischen Fernsehteam unten aus der Salzstraße dokumentiert wurde :D.

Now to the most important. What makes us and our WG lives actually?

On the way, our current constellation is still relatively fresh. Jana lives here for a year, Luisa and Felix both moved in a few months ago. Lennart and Fred are clearly the original stones here in the monastery with already 3 years on the hump. Nevertheless, the time has been enough to establish a beautiful WG life in which we feel very comfortable.

I (Felix) briefly describe my classic coming home after work. In 80% of cases, I meet one of my roommates in the apartment. We chat over our day, usually we land with a coffee on the couch or in the window frame. Then it won't take long until Luisa arrives and wants to play a round very cleverly. Sure we're there. Then everyone will devote themselves to their own things. Sometimes someone cooks so we eat again and again. And weekends are the best. It is true that anyone is always on our way, but they have a great time. Eat together croissants, drink coffee, play games.... you notice, purpose WG is not our thing;).

In short:
Lennart (29y) is the secret cook of the WG. He is regularly encountered in the kitchen where he is trying out various new recipe ideas. With him it will never be boring to have him always for exciting conversations or relaxing Trash TV evenings, currently spends a lot of time at home and also for community WG actions he has to have (as has turned out to be a true Tabu Master:D).

Fred (29y) prefers to spend most of his spare time at the various skatespots in the city. After that there is a large portion of vegetables and sometimes a triback with it. Or mouthbags, always high in the course. In this way, he is stepping up the nights around his ears with various creative projects (light installations/projections, skaterampen rooms). He professionally pipets nanopores in cell membranes and finds defects in the cable salad. Even if the 30 is threatening, an occasional rave or beatbar bag should not be missing!

Jana and Felix went to school together here in Freiburg. Jana (27y) is currently studying geography in the last master semester and has now perfected the production process. Very good for the WG! It is to be used for any WG operations. Darts, good conversations, play games, assemble ski holders in the evening, cook together...you name it! :).

Felix (27y) is a real Freiburger-Bobbele with Hummeln in the Hintern and therefore enjoys spending his spare time with the typical Freiburg-Hobbies. On the weekend, he is also happy to travel with his beloved VW bus Penni in the Black Forest (and is happy to pack the entire WG). The fact that he is at home is that he is pampering and well-launted through the WG or comes from his cozy DAV-Hütte music or trumpet sounds. If you're lucky, you can chill with him well and he always has an open ear for his cohabitation.

Luisa (26y) decided to study political science here in Freiburg after her training as a nurse for children. She currently explores the city, gets to know new friends and trains next to Felix on a triathlon. She can inspire herself for a lot, in particular together with Jana daheim to press some unique university projects :D Besides, she is a big fan of social games and is currently always persuading anyone in the WG to a round very cleverly in which she is btw un beaten :D

Nun zum wichtigsten. Was macht uns und unser WG-Leben eigentlich aus?

Vorweg, unsere aktuelle Konstellation ist noch relativ frisch. Jana wohnt seit einem Jahr hier, Luisa und Felix sind beide vor ein paar Monaten eingezogen. Lennart und Fred sind klar die Urgesteine hier im Kloster mit bereits 3 Jahren auf dem Buckel. Dennoch hat die Zeit bisher gereicht, um ein schönes WG-Leben zu etablieren, in dem wir uns sehr wohl fühlen.

Ich (Felix) beschreibe kurz mein klassisches nach Hause kommen nach der Arbeit. In 80% der Fälle treffe ich eineN meiner MitbewohnerInnen in der Wohnung an. Wir plaudern über unseren Tag, in der Regel landen wir mit einem Kaffee auf der Couch oder im Fensterrahmen. Dann dauert es nicht lange, bis Luisa ankommt und eine Runde ganz schön clever spielen will. Klar sind wir da mit dabei. Dann widmet sich jeder wieder seinen eigenen Dingen zu. Teilweise kocht jemand, sodass wir auch immer mal wieder zusammen essen. Und Wochenenden sind eh das Beste. Zwar ist eigentlich immer irgendjemand von uns unterwegs, aber die die hier sind haben eine super Zeit :). Gemeinsam Croissants essen, Kaffee trinken, Spiele spielen.... du merkst schon, Zweck-WG ist nicht unser Ding ;).

Kurz zu uns:
Lennart (29y) ist der heimliche Koch der WG. Man trifft ihn regelmäßig in der Küche an, wo er verschiedenste neue Rezeptideen ausprobiert. Mit ihm wird es nie langweilig, er ist immer für spannende Unterhaltungen oder entspannende Trash-TV-Abende zu haben, verbringt aktuell viel Zeit zu Hause und auch für gemeinschaftliche WG-Aktionen ist er zu haben (wie sich dabei herausgestellt hat, ein wahrer Tabu Meister :D).

Fred (29y) verbringt am liebsten den größten Teil seiner Freizeit an den verschiedenen Skatespots der Stadt. Im Anschluss gibt es eine große Portion Gemüse und hin und wieder mal ein Triback mit dazu. Oder Maultaschen, auch immer hoch im Kurs. Damit gestärkt, schlägt er sich mit verschiedensten kreativen Projekten (Lichtinstallationen/projektionen, skaterampen zimmern) die Nächte um die Ohren. Beruflich pipetiert er Nanoporen in Zellmembranen und findet Defekte im Kabelsalat. Auch wenn die 30 bedrohlich nahe liegt, sollte ein gelegentlicher Rave oder beatbar absacker nicht fehlen!

Jana und Felix sind gemeinsam hier in Freiburg zu Schule gegangen. Jana (27y) studiert aktuell Geographie im letzten Mastersemester und hat mittlerweile das Prokrastinieren perfektioniert. Sehr zum Wohle der WG! Sie ist für jegliche WG-Unternehmungen zu haben. Darts, gute Gespräche, Spiele spielen, abends Skihalterungen montieren, gemeinsam kochen...you name it! :).

Felix (27y) ist ein richtiges Freiburger-Bobbele mit Hummeln im Hintern und verbringt daher auch seine Freizeit gerne mit den typischen Freiburg-Hobbies. Am Wochenende ist er auch gerne mal mit seinem geliebten VW-Bus Penni im Schwarzwald unterwegs (und packt da auch gerne die ganze WG mit ein). Dass er zuhause ist, erkennt man daran, dass er pfeifend und gut gelaunt durch die WG läuft oder aus seiner gemütlichen DAV-Hütte Musik- oder Trompentenklänge kommen. Wenn man Glück hat, kann man mit ihm aber auch richtig gut chillen und er hat immer ein offenes Ohr für seine Mitbewohnis :).

Luisa (26y) hat sich nach ihrer Ausbildung als Kinderkrankenpflegerin für ein Studium der Politikwissenschaft hier in Freiburg entschieden. Sie erkundet aktuell die Stadt, lernt neue Freunde kennen und trainiert nebenher gemeinsam mit Felix auf einen Triathlon.Sie kann sich für sehr vieles begeistern, insbesondere gemeinsam mit Jana daheim vor igendwelchen Uni-Projekten zu drücken :D Außerdem ist sie großer Fan von Gesellschaftsspielen und überredet aktuell immer irgendwen in der WG zu einer Runde ganz schön clever, worin sie btw ungeschlagen ist :D

We will try to give as many feedback as possible. Don't take us if it takes two days. We would then plan a first to know for the first February week. It is important to us that we meet in person, so that we can estimate each other a little better.
Our landlord is very relaxed, so far the Orga was always uncomplicated with her.

Wir werden versuchen, möglichst viele Rückmeldungen zu geben. Nehmt es uns nicht krumm, wenn es ein zwei Tage dauert. Ein erstes Kennenlernen würden wir dann für die erste Februar-Woche planen. Uns ist es wichtig, dass wir uns in Person treffen, sodass wir uns gegenseitig etwas besser einschätzen können.
Unsere Vermieterin ist sehr entspannt, bisher war die Orga mit ihr immer unkompliziert.
