Hello!
I'm looking for a SWAP option with a maximum budget of 500€. It can be a WG room or a single room. In return you will get a nice room with nice roommates near Seepark.
Information about the room and the apartment:
The room is 13 square meters tall and it is not clear whether the furniture will stay, about it you can discuss. Your room costs a total of 305€ and has access to our balcony that we like to share. We respect the privacy of course, but we also like to spend a little time on the balcony in the summer. The WG consists of five rooms distributed over the apartment. We have a large kitchen where we like to cook, talk and hang on the couch. Besides, we have two bathrooms.
Info about me:
Hello!
I am Omar Swelam, doing my Master's in Computer Science and hopefully will finish my thesis this upcoming semester. I therefore work as a research assistant at the university. I am 28 years old but I look like a 23 years old without a beard :D
I am a very open-minded person who loves to learn about different people's perspectives. I have been active in Erasmus events in the last year through which I made a very lovely circle of friends from Germany and internationally.
I appreciate open communication when it comes to sharing apartments. I love dancing and I generally like pub crawls, reading into psychology, movie nights, and cozy chill deep talks with a cup of hot chocolate. So, I am an AnnenMayKantereit fan and generally like indie music, jazz, rock, and techno :D
My English is really good but my German language skills are still a work in progress.
We live in the Mooswald district. Even though we may not have the most beautiful surroundings right around the house, everything is close to running. The nearest railway station is Berliner Allee (8 minutes walk) and the S-Bahn station Messe/Universität is also within a 10-minute walk.
There is an Aldi, Rewe, dm and a few restaurants/dönerläden in the Westarkaden (8 minutes). Otherwise there are bakeries and a savings bank nearby.
Most importantly, however, is the top location to the lake park: In a few minutes you can jump from the WG to the lake!
We also like to do this, especially in winter. So if you are seriously interested in the room, write to us what external temperature you would jump with us into the lake;)
If you like to go to the gym / swimming, we also live directly at the sports park/sport prince and opposite the Westbad.
Akutell we are five people in the WG.
Clara is, hardly to believe, longest resident in the WG and works as a social worker in youth work. She has a lot of energy and is therefore always at the start for companies. And: She makes the best Mexican in Freiburg.
Mara works as an independent German teacher and likes to drink with Clara Coffee on the couch. She likes to listen to music and much too many podcasts and tries to persuade the WG to play evenings. When she gets up, she also likes to walk or to the dance fountains ️.
Rajat comes from India and currently works in a school for children with disabilities and learns German next door. Otherwise, he brings his crazy way into the WG with and cooks (unfortunately too rare) delicious Indian food.
Oh yes, Mara and Rajat are a couple and live in a shared WG room:)
Shakiba comes from Iran and shares her room with 100 plants she devotes a lot of time. She studies Computer Science and works at the university next door, so she actually hangs from Deadline to Deadline and is a lot of codes. Otherwise, she likes to be in the Ikea.
Kerem is working in the cinema and comes from Turkey. He brings everyone to laugh with his humor and is often on the move in the city and often initiates joint actions. Otherwise he likes to and much sports, whether jogging, cycling or football.
Our WG life is very relaxed and yet somehow familiary. There is plenty of space to sit together through the kitchen. We do not have fixed joint activities, but all interest in the lives of others and generally desire to do things. With each new person, the dynamics in a WG also change:)
It would also be important to know that the WG language is currently predominantly English. Sometimes, however, Spanish or German are spoken, depending on who is currently present.
