Freiburg im Breisgau is the fourth largest city in Baden-Württemberg and the southernmost city in Germany after Stuttgart, Mannheim and Karlsruhe. The circular city in the district of the same name is the seat of the Regional Association of Southern Upper Rhine and the district of Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald, from which it is almost entirely surrounded. The nearest major cities are Mulhouse about 60 km southwest, Basel about 70 km south and Zurich about 150 km south-east, Strasbourg about 85 km and Karlsruhe about 140 km north and Stuttgart, about 200 km northeast of Freiburg. The nearby location to the Black Forest, Switzerland and Alsace create a great tourist attraction. Around 230,000 people live in Freiburg, including some 33,000 students from the Albert-Ludwigs University, the universities of applied sciences and the pedagogical college.
The Wiehre is a residential district of the outer city of Freiburg, on the opposite side of the tributary, south of the center.
The Wiehre is today a very popular residential area, especially because of its rich old building, the comparatively quiet roads and the attractive location between the city centre and green suburbs.
The Wiehre is bounded to the west by the Rheintalbahn Karlsruhe – Basel, to the north by the Dreisam, to the east by the Waldsee district and to the south by the Sternwald am Bromberg and the foothills of the village Günterstal, also belonging to Freiburg.
Around the turn of the 20th century The Lorettoberg, which stands into the Wiehre, was built with magnificent villas, and a Catholic hospital was also settled there. The building consists largely of villas, town houses and large rental houses with spacious apartments. Within the cradle there are many small shops, often from the ecological-alternative area, pubs and shops.
The historical subcentre around the old station Freiburg-Wiehre still exists, there is also a weekly market. The main shopping street is Günterstalstraße, which connects the city of Freiburg via Günterstal to the Schauinsland. The area's flair is exceptionally attractive in the summer: in particular, the old, closed structure, the proximity to the outskirts of the city and at the same time to the city centre and the relative tranquility are clear advantages of the Wiehre.
For full comfort you will find a fully equipped kitchen with everything you need. The morning coffee is freshly prepared by the coffee machine (Siebträger). Egg cooker, kettle, toaster... everything is ready for your food.
In the day-to-day bath, you can arrange yourself for the day in the large shower. Fresh laundry is provided by a washing machine and a dryer which is directly accommodated in the apartment.
Joint undertakings are possible but not obligatory. A decent man who can independently carry his household (owner can wash his own laundry, clean dishes into the machine etc.) is desired.
Preference is given to a working roommate, I attach great importance to a harmonious coexistence. For this I wish an open, respectful coexistence a relaxed atmosphere in which everyone can feel comfortable and have time for themselves.
Cleanliness is obvious to me and I pay particular attention to a neat and hygienic kitchen. Reliability and reliability are important.
