Das kleine Zimmer befindet sich im 2.OG und hat ein Fenster von dem aus du raus ins Grüne schauen, Vögel beobachten und manchmal auch die Pferde vom nahegelegenen Hof vorbeitraben hören kannst. In dem Zimmer ist auch ein Waschbecken, was ich immer ganz praktisch fand, um nicht nochmal zum Zähneputzen runter ins Bad zu laufen. Ich habe ein halbhohes Bett in dem Zimmer eingebaut, sodass du viel Stauraum unter dem Bett hast. Zwei Regale, die unter dem Bett stehen würde ich dir gerne überlassen :) durch das Bett in der Dachschräge und den Ausblick ins Grüne, hatte ich auch ein bisschen Baumhausfeeling. Da es in der Gegend sehr ruhig ist, kannst du auch gut mit offenem Fenster schlafen. Im Sommer kann es hier aber auch ganz schön warm werden, da es im Dachgeschoss liegt. Gleichzeitig hast du ein ganzes Haus zur Verfügung, das wir uns teilen. Es gibt einen Garten, gemeinsame Küche, Keller mit einer kleinen Werkbank, Waschraum, Garage und das Highlight meinerseits ist das große Wohn- und Esszimmer mit großen Panoramafenster. Also viel Raum der genutzt werden will!

The small room is located on the second floor and has a window from where you can look outside into the garden, watch birds or hear sometimes horses passing by from the farm next to us. In your room is also a sink, pretty practical, so you don't have to go down the stairs for brushing your teeth. In the room is a waist-high bed, therefore you have a lot of storage space under it. Two shelves under the bed I would like to gift to you. :) For me it was kind of treehousefeeling with the bed and the view into the Green. The neighborhood is pretty calm, so you could also sleep with an open window. In summer it can be pretty hot, because the room is on the top floor. Furthermore there is a whole house you can use with garden, kitchen, cellar with a small handcraft space and washing room, the garage mainly used for parking our bikes and planting, gardening tools and my personal highlight the communal living and dining room with panorama window. A lot of space that wants to be used!
Das Haus ist circa 10min von der S-Bahn Haltestelle Köln-Holweide (S11) entfernt. Damit sind wir echt gut angebunden (5min bis Köln-Mühlheim, 10 min bis Köln Hbf und 15min bis Köln Hansaring). Es gibt auch die Möglichkeit mit dem Bus bis Jasminweg zu fahren (circa 5min vom Haus entfernt). Leider brauchst du aber z.B. nach Ehrenfeld echt etwas länger, also ist es wirklich clever vorher zu schauen, welche Orte du häufiger besuchst und wie viel Zeit du investieren willst.
Ein echtes Plus ist, dass das Haus in einer sehr ruhigen und entspannten Wohngegend liegt. Nur 10min entfernt beginnt der Wald und auch ein See ist in direkter Nähe, der zum Baden Gehen, Spazieren und auch Sport Machen einlädt. Alles andere ist auch direkt um die Ecke, ein paar Minuten bis zum Rewe, Penny, zur Bäckerei, Bank und auch Apotheke.

To use public transportation (s-bahn) you have to walk 10 minutes. So the connection to the city is pretty good (5mins to Köln-Mühlheim, 10mins to main train station, 15mins to Hansaring). There is also the possibility to take the bus from Jasminweg to the city (5mins walk from the house). To drive for example to Ehrenfeld you need more time, therefore it makes sense to check the connection and think about where you need to go often. A few minutes away you can also find supermarkets, pharamacy, bank and a bakery. So actually everything you need for daily life. The house is located in a very calm and relaxed neighboorhood.
Just 10mins away is the forest and also a lake nearby, that is very nice for talking a walk, watching birds, swimming, or doing sports.
Im Haus ist uns ein wertschätzender und achtsamer Umgang miteinander sehr wichtig. Alle zwei Wochen treffen wir uns zum WG Plenum bei dem es Raum gibt zu teilen, wie es allen geht und was im Haus so ansteht. Meistens versuchen wir auch hier gemeinsam Tage zu finden, an denen wir Zeit miteinander verbringen können, zum Beispiel zum Karten oder Tischtennis spielen. Es ist so, dass im Haus alle so ihr Ding machen von Studium, über Kunst, Aktivismus und Lohnarbeit machen wir alle sehr unterschiedliches. Manchmal ist es daher auch herausfordernd in Kontakt zu bleiben. Wir würden gern mehr Zeit miteinander verbringen, um miteinander abzuhängen, einander zu unterstützen und sind gerade dabei herauszufinden auf welche Weise das passieren kann. Das ist ein laufender Prozess und es wäre toll, wenn du interessiert daran bist und Kapas hast dich uns dabei anzuschließen. :) Für mich war besonders das Kochen und gemeinsame Essen ein wichtiger Punkt, um Menschen zusammenzubringen.

A respectfull and cherish contact is very important to us. Every two weeks we meet for plenum, there is room to share how you are and what is present in the house/needs to be done. Mostly there we try to find days to meet and spend time together, for example to play card games or table tennis. But still everyone is involved in their own projects like studying, doing art, acitivism or working. Overall different stuff keeps us busy. Sometimes it's hard to stay in connection with each other. We would like to spend more time together, to hang out, to support eath other and are currently trying to figure out good ways to do that. This is an ongoing process, and it would be nice if you are interested and have capacity to join us in that. :) Especially cooking and eating together is something that I experienced as an important connection point in the house.
Wichtig: Das Haus ist vegan und wir teilen uns die Lebensmittel. Es gibt eine gemeinsame Essenskasse, in die monatlich eingezahlt wird und auf Vertrauensbasis läuft. Wenn du dir nicht vorstellen kannst im Haus vegan zu leben, ist ein Einzug leider nicht möglich. Wenn du dazu fragen hast, kannst du uns auch gern schreiben. :) Zudem sprechen Menschen im Haus deutsch, englisch, koreanisch und französisch. Meistens sprechen wir im Englisch im Haus, also wäre es toll, wenn du dich damit wohlfühlst

Important for you to know:
The house is vegan and we share our food. There is also a communal food till, where we pay monthly money in on trust base. If you cannot imagine eating & living vegan in the house, moving in is not possible, because it is the base of the house structure. If you want more infos to that just text us. :) Furthermore the spoken languages are: korean, english, german and french. Most of the time we speak english, so would be nice if you feel comfortable with this.
