We are a 4s WG and have a whole house half on three floors for us. In addition to kitchen, cellar, bathroom and guest toilet, there is also a large balcony and a living room for shared use. The house is older but rather cozy, especially spacious and has everything the (student) heart desires: washing machine, dishwasher, separate living room, bicycle storage, ... (plus a few cool features such as TV, dart disc, beer table, hot air fryer...).
The room is in 2. Floor under the roof and has 8.5 m2, with different floor heights and a large vault. This makes it small but also unique, charming, cozy and inexpensive. The room is well used by a custom-made bed frame made of pallets and a self-cleaned shelf, which I have also taken over by my renter and would like to pass on free of charge. These adjustments fit into the room a clothes rack and a small desk. All in all, the place for me was absolutely sufficient, as the large living room and balcony offer the possibilities to relax.
Wir sind eine 4er-WG und haben eine ganze Haushälfte auf drei Etagen für uns. Neben Küche, Keller, Badezimmer und Gästetoilette gibt es auch noch einen großen Balkon und ein Wohnzimmer zur Mitbenutzung. Das Haus ist schon älter, aber ziemlich gemütlich, vor allem geräumig und hat alles, was das (Studenten-)Herz begehrt: Waschmaschine, Spülmaschine, separates Wohnzimmer, Fahrradabstellplatz, ... (plus ein paar coole Features wie Fernseher, Dartscheibe, Bierpongtisch, Heißluftfritteuse...).
Das Zimmer ist im 2. Stock unterm Dach und hat 8,5 m2, mit unterschiedlichen Bodenhöhen und einem großen Tresor. Damit ist es zwar klein aber auch einzigartig, charmant, gemütlich und preiswert. Der Raum ist gut genutzt durch ein maßgefertigtes Bettgestell aus Paletten und einem selbstgeschreinerten Regal, welche ich ebenfalls von meinem Vormieter übernommen habe und gerne auch kostenfrei weitergeben würde. Durch diese Anpassungen passen in das Zimmer eine Kleiderstange und ein kleiner Schreibtisch. Alles in allem war der Platz für mich absolut ausreichend, da das große Wohnzimmer und Balkon die Möglichkeiten bieten zum Entspannen.

Die Lage ist ziemlich genial. Vaihingen ist ein bisschen wie eine eigene kleine Stadt in der Stadt. In unmittelbarer Nähe (ca. 1 Minute laufen) befindet sich die Schwabengalerie, ein Einkaufszentrum, das alles hat, was man zum täglichen Leben braucht: Aldi, Kaufland, dm, Friseur, Bäcker, Metzger, einige Modegeschäfte ... Auch viele Ärzte sind fußläufig zu erreichen. Immer mittwochs und samstags findet der Vaihinger Markt statt – auch im Winter – und bietet frisches Obst, Gemüse, Blumen, Käse etc.
Zur Uni Vaihingen und HdM gelangt man in unter 10 Minuten mit dem Fahrrad bzw. in 5 Minuten mit dem Bus, der ca. 3 Mal in der Stunde ca. 1 Minute von unserem Haus entfernt fährt.
Das Freibad ist auch um die Ecke, mit dem Fahrrad ca. 5 min.
Zum Vaihinger Bahnhof sind es nur 10 Minuten zu Fuß und man ist von dort in 12-15 Minuten in der Stadtmitte/Hauptbahnhof (S1, S2 und S3). Zum Flughafen sind es mit der S2 oder S3 nur 12 Minuten. Auch mit der U-Bahn gelangt man in die Stadt: Die nächste Haltestelle, Fauststraße, ist nur etwa 5 Minuten entfernt (U14).
Wenn man richtig shoppen oder abends mal was trinken gehen oder weggehen will muss man schon in die Stadt fahren, da bietet Vaihingen (außer den Unipartys) jetzt nicht so viel. Aber ansonsten hat man hier wirklich alles, was man braucht.
