Gastprofessor an der JGU, April bis Juli

I'm American university professor working at JGU in Mainz in the summer of 2025, from 1 April through July 31. I might extend the trip into August if possible. It will mainly be traveling solo, though my partner, also a university professor, will join me for some portion of the summer.

I'm interested in life of the city and the university, so I hope to spend time exploring both. And perhaps I will traveling the region, as recommendations from colleagues and friends will point to me to short trips. So I'm mainly looking for a place from which I can walk and explore city.

I'm working on getting a SCHUFA (solicitar ahora) (jetzt beantragen) report, but can provide financial information or university contracts as needed.

Ich bin amerikanischer Universitätsprofessor und arbeite im Sommer 2025 vom 1. April bis zum 31. Juli an der JGU in Mainz. Wenn möglich, werde ich die Reise bis in den August verlängern. Ich werde hauptsächlich alleine reisen, obwohl mein Partner, ebenfalls Universitätsprofessor, mich für einen Teil des Sommers begleiten wird.

Ich interessiere mich für das Leben in der Stadt und an der Universität, also hoffe ich, Zeit damit verbringen zu können, beides zu erkunden. Und vielleicht werde ich die Region bereisen, da mir Empfehlungen von Kollegen und Freunden kurze Ausflüge empfehlen werden. Ich suche also hauptsächlich nach einem Ort, von dem aus ich zu Fuß die Stadt erkunden kann.

Ich arbeite daran, einen SCHUFA (solicitar ahora) (jetzt beantragen) -Bericht zu bekommen, kann aber bei Bedarf Finanzinformationen oder Universitätsverträge bereitstellen.
