I am renting out my room in a great WG because I am going for an exchange year to Tokyo.
The room I would be renting out is roughly 16m² in size and square. It has two big windows facing a backyard.
It is a very nice and quiet backyard, and there is no disturbance due to cars.
There is a kindergarten close by; therefore, sometimes there are some playing kids that can be heard.
During the summer, you have sunlight starting from 1 o'clock until the sun sets behind the big tree.
It is very well insulated, including the windows, so it keeps cold in summer and warm in winter.
It also has electric sunblinds.
The room was newly painted this spring.
I would be renting it out, including all the furniture that can be seen in the photos.
This includes a wardrobe, which is a bit small, but it is enough for me.
Two bookshelves, a desk, a wooden vitrine, and some small cubed cabinets and a nightstand.
And a single-sized bed.
The bed has a drawer with a mattress underneath it, which you can pull out for your guests.
Through this you can also extend the single-size bed to a double-size bed by attaching feet to the drawer, which is under the bed.
I am a fairly clean person, and I would appreciate it if you would take good care of my furniture.
The apartment also includes a nice and clean bathroom and a separate toilet.
The kitchen is built in and very nice; most kitchen equipment is there, and it is wonderful for cooking.
The kitchen is also the community area, and there is a big table in it where up to 6-8 people fit.
The Apartment is located in Burtscheid, roughly 8 minutes walk to the main train station and 5 minutes walk to the next supermarket.
From the main train station there are very good connections to the Uni by train or bus.
You can also walk to the main Building of the University in 30 min.
To the city center is roughly 15 minutes by foot.
If you have a bicycle it is 10 minutes to University.
Only downside is that you have to cycle uphill, but you wont get around that in Aachen.
You will be living with Ouvi and Doreen who will introduce themself later.
In general it is a very fun and relaxed life together.
We usually clean the apartment once a week together, where we put on loud music and enjoy the time.
We also regularly meet in the kitchen and talk, drink a coffee and if it fits also eat together.
We also try to have a WG evening every two weeks where we go to activities in Aachen or play some games.
It is in general a lively WG.
Of course when exams come around this dies down a bit, and we also respect each others need for privacy and need for down time.
So none is compelled to spend time.
Doreen is a flatmate you can have a lot of fun with. She's studying electrical engineering and is very interested in acoustics.
She is very open and sociable and plays guitar and drums, which sounds wonderful in the neighbouring room. She also enjoys sports such as climbing and running.
We also often have a coffee together. She is out and about quite often, but also enjoys evenings in the flat share.
She also pays a lot of attention to cleanliness. She bakes her apple crumble very often, which tastes great.
Ouvi is a very relaxed flatmate, funny and majority of times very friendly.
He is studying Physiks in his Masters and just finished his Bachelor.
He likes coming out of his room when there is action in the kitchen and has a good chat with you but also respects privacy or if you need some quite time. Hey plays the guitar now and then and it sounds awesome. He also likes Basketball.
Whenever he is having a talk I enjoy his company and he can listen to you very well and sometimes joins you when you are going out. That's always fun.
He is home a lot which means to us, that there is someone there, home with you most of the time, which is a good feeling.
Always in for games, roomiesevenings and a coffee of course.
It is worth sharing a meal or cooking with him because it always tastes and smells delicious.
Also Doreen and Ouve are both not really sensitive to noises and don't have sleeping problems.
We are looking for someone who would like to move into my room from start of March till start of September.
And who is communicative, open minded and open to new things and activities.
Who enjoys spending time together but can also respect personal spaces.
