ruhiges WG-Zimmer in Johannisthal, bei der HTW

Unsere WG liegt im Stadtteil Johannisthal im Bezirk Treptow-Köpenick. Die Lage ist perfekt für Leute, die zwar in Berlin wohnen möchten, aber auf viel Trubel am Wohnort verzichten können oder an der HTW studieren. :) Die HTW ist mit der Tram nur 12 Minuten und mit dem Fahrrad 15 Minuten entfernt. Die nahegelegenen Busse oder Trams bringen einen zur S-Bahn Schöneweide oder zur U-Bahn-Linie 8, wodurch man schnell in Friedrichshain oder Neukölln ist. Falls man sich also auch mal ins Nachtleben stürzen will, ist das kein allzu langer Weg. Ansonsten ist es hier super entspannt und ruhig, und zahlreiche Grünflächen befinden sich um uns herum, sodass man gut joggen oder spazieren gehen kann (Landschaftspark Johannisthal/Adlershof). Mit dem Fahrrad schafft man es auch für einen Tagesausflug zum Müggelsee oder in ca. 35 Minuten zum Tempelhofer Feld.

Our shared apartment is located in the Johannisthal neighborhood in the Treptow-Köpenick district. The location is perfect for people who want to live in Berlin but prefer a quieter residential area or are studying at HTW. :) HTW is only 12 minutes away by tram and 15 minutes by bike. Nearby buses and trams take you to the S-Bahn station Schöneweide or the U8 subway line, making it easy to reach Friedrichshain or Neukölln. So, if you enjoy going out at night, it’s not too far. Otherwise, it is super relaxed and quiet here, with plenty of green spaces around for jogging or walking (Landschaftspark Johannisthal/Adlershof). With a bike, you can also take a day trip to Müggelsee or reach Tempelhofer Feld in about 35 minutes.

Maria (Jahrgang 1996): Kommt aus Spanien, lebt in Berlin und wagt sich an eine Promotion im Bereich Chemie an der Humboldt-Universität.
Michele (Jahrgang 1998): Ist Flugbegleiter und studiert nebenbei. Er spielt gerne Computerspiele oder Hockey und kommt ursprünglich aus Italien.
Wojciech (Jahrgang 1994): Macht momentan eine Umschulung im Bereich IT, ist ansonsten viel im Fitnessstudio und hat polnische Wurzeln.
PS: Wir unterhalten uns meist auf Englisch, jedoch spricht oder lernt jede*r auch Deutsch. ;)

Unser WG-Alltag kann man als respektvoll, entspannt und ordentlich beschreiben. Da wir alle unter der Woche relativ busy sind, sind wir froh, wenn keine exzessiven Partys stattfinden, niemand Schlagzeug spielt oder einen Online-Jodel-Kurs besucht. Am Wochenende treffen sich diejenigen, die Lust haben, gelegentlich auf ein Bierchen oder ein alternatives Kaltgetränk in der Küche oder auf dem Balkon – alles aber ohne Zwang und ganz entspannt. Jedes Wochenende Party gibt es bei uns aber nicht: Das schafft der eine oder die andere mental und körperlich einfach nicht mehr. Wir leben in einem Mehrfamilienhaus mit schönem Innenhof, in dem unsere Nachbarn (hauptsächlich junge Familien) häufig zusammensitzen. Auch hier herrscht eine super entspannte Atmosphäre.

Maria (born in 1996): Originally from Spain, she lives in Berlin and is pursuing a PhD in Chemistry at Humboldt University.
Michele (born in 1998): A flight attendant who also studies on the side. He enjoys gaming and hockey and is originally from Italy.
Wojciech (born in 1994): Currently retraining in IT, spends a lot of time at the gym, and has Polish roots.

Our shared apartment life can be described as respectful, relaxed, and tidy. Since we are all quite busy during the week, we appreciate a quiet atmosphere—so no excessive parties, drum sessions, or online yodeling courses on weekdays. On weekends, those who feel like it sometimes get together for a beer or an alternative cold drink in the kitchen or on the balcony—but always optional and very relaxed. However, we don’t have parties every weekend; some of us just wouldn’t survive that mentally or physically anymore. We live in a multi-family house with a lovely courtyard where our neighbors (mostly young families) often sit together. The atmosphere here is also super relaxed.

Apart from that, we value cleanliness and shared responsibility. We use a cleaning app that reminds us of basic tasks, but the main idea is simple and genius: everyone leaves things as clean as they found them, and if the trash is full, they just take it out.

Momentan tropft es bei starkem Regen durch das Fenster. Die Verwaltung wurde bereits informiert, und ein baldiger Austausch des Fensters steht an. Falls dies erst nach dem 01.04. passiert, wird die Nachmieter*in durch die momentane Mietminderung deutlich weniger Miete pro Monat zahlen, bis die Reparatur erfolgt ist. Die Anmeldung als Hauptmieter*in ist normal und die Mindestmiete des Zimmers sind 12 Monate, da wir in der WG keinen ständigen Wechsel haben möchten.

At the moment, there is some leakage through the window during heavy rain. The property management has already been informed, and the window is scheduled to be replaced soon. If this happens after April 1st, the new tenant will pay significantly less rent per month due to the current rent reduction until the repair is completed. The registration as the main tenant is standard, and the minimum rental period for the room is 12 months, as we do not want constant changes in the shared apartment.
