Berlin - Zimmer in einer WG/Room in a WG (long-term) beginning September/October

Dear Humans of Berlin,

My name is Annika and I am 23 years old, currently living and finishing up my Bachelor in American Studies and Political Science at Leipzig University. Originally from Bremen, I will be moving to Berlin at the beginning of October to start my Masters degree which consequently means I will need a long-term room to breath, sleep, dance, and loose my mind over papers. I would consider myself an experienced WG-human! I lived in one for three years in Leipzig (and I absolutely adore these girls and will miss them), spent a semester in Ohio in one, and did an internship in New York City last summer, which means some additional hipstery Brooklyn WG-experiences. That said, I like organization and cleanliness in a WG (of course not completely strict but definitely somewhat strict) and also a sense of community and engagement with each other whether that is cooking, taking care of plants, drinking wine and beer or dancing through the kitchen to deal with life in general. I would consider myself quite the sarcastic person so a sense of humor is tremendously important for me! Nonetheless, I also respect everyone’s living space and quiet time and will need some of this as well. Activities I very much enjoy are analogue photography, food, traveling, awkward dancing, playing piano, and making pottery. The latter means that from time to time random salad bowls or cups or vases might occur, in all creative or not so creative forms and colors. I do like to go out from time to time, but not excessively. And having lived in Leipzig I am definitely more immersed into the electro/techno scene but can have fun anywhere with the right people. Further, I have an excellent taste in music if I might say so myself. Huge Florence and the Machine, The National, Bon Iver fan but having an obsession with David Bowie, ABBA, Whitney Houston, and Queen. Don’t ask!

If someone has a room ideally in an “Altbau” with something between 15-23m2 that does not cost more than 500€/month, I would very much appreciate a message! I am happy to answer any questions and if you could let me know a few things about your WG that would be excellent. I can provide an Instagram account and an old Facebook page to proof my existence (?). If anyone reads this who would like to look for a new place and establish a new WG – I am also up for that. I speak German as my native language, English fluently, Italian, French, and Russian in a more fractured, hand-foot way.
