Looking for a roommate for our shared flat! (FEMALE)
We have a room available as one of onur roommates has recently found their own place. Currently, there are 3 of us living here — 1 women(Eylül) and 2 men(Mertcan and Kemal)
We’d prefer a female roommate to keep the balance in flat, but what matters most to us is finding someone respectful, open-minded, and who values diversity— no matter their background, religion, or culture. All three of us are at the very beginning of learning German so we are looking for someone who can speak Turkish or English well.
- Room will be unfurnished
- City Registration (Anmeldung) is available
- The rent is warm (Warmmiete) which includes heating and all other services (except electricity and internet) is 271.25 €
- Depozit is 131,25 €
- Electricity and internet costs are around 40€ per month per person
- 2 bathrooms
-- Washing/drying machine, dishwasher, two fridges(they are not big fridges so 1 little fridge for 2 person and we have a plan to buy a new one in the near future)

- 20 mins walk to Dortmund Main Station HBF (or 7 mins Tram)
- 1min walk to a subway station
- 1 min walk to Netto or Penny Market

Our key is communication to make sure everyone feels comfortable and pays attention to our needs. We also like to help each other and of course, everyone has the freedom and space they need. We do not have too many rules but since it can be a dealbreaker it’s better to point out one thing; Eylul is smoking in the kitchen so if you are against to it, this is not the best match for you. And of course, we can discuss any other rules in the meeting.
A little bit about us
Eylül: I am 27 years old and currently doing my masters degree in European Culture and Economy at Ruhr University. I also work part time in Essen. Whenever I can find some free time, I love cooking, making jewellery or working on punch needles projects— these hobbies help me relax and unwind.
Mertcan: I am 30 years old and came here to do my masters in Civil Engineering, Right now I’m in the language school phase and recently started working part-time in Dortmund. (I am a barista and a kitchen assistant.) Mert enjoys listening to music, playing computer games, traveling to different cities, shopping, and cooking in his free time.
Kemal: I am 27 years old and currently I am pursuing a Masters Degree in European Culture and Economy at Ruhr University Bochum. I enjoy urban sketching, exploring different drawing styles, discovering new cities and playing tennis. Recently I have started exploring music production as well.
