13qm Zimmer auf der Veddel

In unserer WG auf der Veddel wird ab dem 01.05.2025 ein Zimmer frei.

Wir - Pablo, Luize und Christina - sind zwischen 29 und 35 Jahre alt und wohnen gern hier auf der beschaulichen Elbinsel mit Hafenromantik.

Pablo forscht an der Außenalster irgendwo zwischen Soziologie und Geschichte zum Thema rechte Gewalt, kocht jedes Gericht mit Kreuzkümmel und Zitronenschale und kommt Christina immer zuvor, den gemeinsamen Hafermilch-Vorrat aufzufüllen. Luize ist Künstlerin und studiert in Hamburg. Mehrmals die Woche steuert sie dem WG Leben super leckeres Sauerteigbrot bei und neuerdings auch ein Netflix Abo. Christina arbeitet derzeit eher weniger als mehr im Einzelhandel, geht in ihrer Freizeit einer nur schwer überschaubaren Anzahl an Hobbies nach, hat Spaß an geselligen Küchengesprächen und nun auch am Serien gucken über Luizes Netflix Abo.

Das Zimmer ist 13 qm groß und ist zum Innenhof gelegen. Sofern das Hamburger Wetter es zulässt, scheint mittags ab und an die Sonne rein und man kann vom Fenster aus gut die Vögel in den Baumkronen beobachten.

Hier eine absolut objektive Einschätzung unserer Wohnsituation:
Pros:
- große, lichtdurflutete Küche mit Blick auf Veddeler Fußballplatz
- Zahnarzt im Haus
- superliebe WG-Menschen, die gern gemeinsam kochen, abhängen, etc.
- prima Anbindung (3 Sbahn-Stationen zum Hbf)
- Direkte Nachbarschaft zur größten Binneninsel Europas (Wilhelmsburg)
- Um die Ecke sind ein Penny und der Hansemarkt (Kleiner Supermarkt mit riesigen Säcken Reis und frischen Kräutern)
- Kino und Nachbarschaftsinitiative in der entweihten Kirche um die Ecke
- Zeitungsabo der Le Monde Diplomatique, von der Rechte Rand und vom Jacobin Magazine
- Ein Springbrunnen vor der Tür

Kontra:
-Müssen Miete zahlen
-der Springbrunnen ist gerade kaputt

In der WG sprechen wir häufig englisch, da nicht alle von uns deutsch sprechen. Wir teilen unser Essen und bestellen wöchentlich eine Biokiste. Wir kochen viele vegetarische Mahlzeiten und teilen nur die veganen/vegetarischen Lebensmittel. Trotzdem gibt es unter uns auch Fleisch- und Fisch-Esser.
Wir versuchen ein gemeinschaftliches Miteinander zu pflegen und ab und zu auch Dinge gemeinsam zu unternehmen oder zusammen zu kochen.

Bei uns herrscht eine offene, tolerante und lockere Atmosphäre. Wir haben keine sonderlich dogmatischen Regeln, aber einen gut durchdachten Putzplan, abgesehen von unserer WG-Hygiene keine Lust auf übertriebenes Ordnungsdenken, sondern wünschen uns eine Gesellschaft, in der Menschen ohne Angst verschieden sein können.

In our flat in Veddel there will be a free room from 01.05.2025. We - Pablo, Luize und Christina - are between 29 and 35 years old and we like to live here together, on this tranquil small island in the Elbe river.

A little bit about us: Pablo does his PhD at the Außenalster on the history of right-wing violence, he cooks every meal with cumin and lemon zest and pre-empts Christina most of the time in filling up the shared oatmilk stock. Luize is an artist and studies in Hamburg. She contributes a netflix subscription to WG-life, as well as super delicious sourdough bread several times a week. Christina works less than more in retail at the moment and has an incalculable amount of hobbies that she pursues in her freetime. She enjoys sociable kitchen talks and lately likes to watch series with Luizes Netflix subscription.

The room is 13 square meters big and the window is facing the inner courtyard. When the Hamburg weather allows the sun to come through, the room has sunlight every now and then around midday. And you can watch the birds very well in the treecrowns from the room.

Next, we have an almost objective assesment about our living situation:
pros:
- A large, light-flooded kitchen with a view of the Veddel soccer field
- dentist in the building
- Super friendly flatmates who like to cook together, hang out, etc.
- Excellent connections (3 sbahn stations to central station from Veddel)
- Direct neighborhood to the largest inland island in Europe (Wilhelmsburg)
- Around the corner are a Penny and the Hansemarkt (small supermarket with huge bags of rice and lots of fresh herbs)
- Cinema and neighborhood initiative in the deconsecrated church around the corner
- Newspaper subscriptions from Le Monde Diplomatique, the Rechte Rand and Jacobin Magazine
- A fountain in front of the door

cons:
-we have to pay rent
-the fountain is broken

In our flat we speak english, because Luize doesnt speak german. We share most of our food and order an organic vegetable-box weekly. We eat a lot of vegetarian meals and also only share vegan/vegetarian food items. Nevertheless we also are fish- and /or meat eaters.
We don’t have strict rules, but a well considered and thought through cleaning plan. We like to have a shared-flat life that is also community focused and sometimes do activities or cook together. But still everyone has their own life and things to do outside of the flat.

We wish to live in an open, tolerant and easy atmosphere.
