Room in 2-person flat, center//Zimmer in 2-Personen WG, Zentrum

The address is Lutherstr. which is absolutely central with supermarkets, Pizzerias and assorted restaurants, medical clinics, trams, pubs and bars (incl. the famous Wagnergasse) and both the railway stations (Paradiesbahnhof and Westbahnhof) are within a 10 min walk.

Die Wohnung befindet sich auf der Lutherstraße und ist damit absolut zentral gelegen, um Supermärkte, Pizzerien, Restaurants, Kneipen (die bekannte Wagnergasse ist in der Nähe), den ÖPNV und medizinische Einrichtungen zu erreichen. Beide Hauptbahnhöfe sind nur einen 10 Minuten Fußweg entfernt. 

I am a physicist doing my PhD in Jena. I am very international in my perspective and appreciate meeting and especially living with people who are similar. Having said that, I would very much like to live with native German speakers as far as possible (as is my current flatmate) since I am learning the language. I am generally quiet and respectful of privacy and would appreciate the same. We could be simply two people sharing a flat for financial reasons or become good friends if we get along well– either is fine by me. Being in a long-distance relationship, my gf will visit me on certain weekends here and this shouldn’t be a problem for my potential flatmate.

Ich bin Physiker und promoviere gerade in Jena. Ich vertrete eine sehr offene Weltanschauung und mag es Leute zu treffen, die eine ähnliche Einstellung vertreten. Ich würde sehr gerne mit jemandem zusammen wohnen, der Deutsch als Muttersprache hat, da ich momentan dabei bin, die Sprache zu lernen. Ich bin ein sehr ruhiger Mitbewohner und respektiere die Privatsphäre anderer und wünsche mir dies auch von meinem Mitbewohner. Für mich ist es ok, wenn wir eine Interessensgemeinschaft oder gute Freunde werden, ich bin für beides offen. Da ich mich in einer Fernbeziehung befinde, wird meine Freundin mich an manchen Wochenenden besuchen und das sollte für meinen Mitbewohner kein Problem sein.  

Negative points: 
1. We don’t have a flatrate landline telephone connection so any calls made have to be paid for separately. 
2. As mentioned before, electric heating in the bathroom means a 20 min wait before showering. 
3. Water can be heated in the taps in the kitchen and bathroom, of course, but again with a wait.

Negativanmerkungen: 
1.Wir haben keine Festnetz Flatrate, jeder Anruf wird einzeln abgerechnet. 
2.Man muss 20 Min auf die Dusche warten.
3.Warmes Wasser kann in der Küche oder Bad gewärmt werden, dauert aber auch etwas.
