Das Zimmer hat ein großes Fenster mit Südwestausrichtung, sodass man vormittags häufiger mal Sonne abbekommt. Fest eingebaut sind ein Schrank sowie eine Dusche, darüber hinaus kannst du einen Schreibtisch mit Stuhl und ein Bett (allerdings ohne Matratze) aus dem Hausinventar übernehmen. Im ganzen Haus gibt es darüber hinaus schnelles Internet.
Das Haus ist in mehrere Stockwerke unterteilt, die jeweils so etwas wie eine gemeinsame WG bilden. Das Zimmer befindet sich im dritten Stock, in dem insgesamt 20 Menschen wohnen. Alle teilen sich eine sehr geräumige Küche mit ausreichend Kühlschränken und Herdplatten sowie einem Backofen. Das Badezimmer teilst du dir mit mehreren Leuten auf dem Stockwerk, die Toilette mit zwei anderen. Eine Waschmaschine und einen Trockner gibt es auch auf der Etage.

The room has a large window with a south-west orientation, so that you get sun more often in the mornings. There is a built-in wardrobe and a shower, and you can also take a desk with chair and a bed (but without a mattress) from the house inventory. There is also fast internet throughout the house.
The house is divided into several floors, each of which forms something like a shared flat. The room is on the third floor, where a total of 20 people live. Everyone shares a very spacious kitchen with plenty of fridges and hobs as well as an oven. You share the bathroom with several people on the floor and the toilet with two others. There is also a washing machine and tumble dryer on the floor.
Die Lage ist super, zwischen Melatenfriedhof und Grüngürtel, zwischen Ehrenfeld und Lindenthal, sodass man in wenigen Minuten in der Uni, im Park oder auf der Venloer Straße ist. Eine Bushaltestelle ist direkt vor der Haustür und die nächsten Straßenbahnhaltestellen sind zu Fuß auch nur 5 Minuten entfernt. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind auch direkt um die Ecke.

The location is great, between Melatenfriedhof and Grüngürtel, between Ehrenfeld and Lindenthal, so you can be at the university, in the park or on Venloer Straße in just a few minutes. There is a bus stop right outside the front door and the nearest streetcar stops are only a 5-minute walk away. Shopping facilities are also just around the corner.
Das Wohnheim ist ein relativ junges Projekt, das gerade noch im Aufbau ist. Dementsprechend gibt es hier verschiedene Möglichkeiten, sich hier einzubringen - beispielsweise in der Organisation von Partys, Poker- oder Filmabenden und vielem mehr. Das Wohnheim hat einen eigenen Kinosaal, ein Gym, einen Partykeller, einen Co-Working-Space, einem gemütlichen Innenhof, einen großen Keller mit Stauraum und einer Ecke für Jam Sessions - also langweilig wird es hier niemandem.
Die Atmosphäre zwischen den Leuten hier ist auch sehr familiär. Dadurch dass hier viele Menschen mit unterschiedlichsten Interessen aufeinandertreffen und man auch zwangsläufig mit den meisten irgendwann mal in Kontakt kommt, kann man hier sehr gut Anschluss finden, wenn man neu in Köln ist, insbesondere auch wenn man für einen Auslandsaufenthalt kommt.

The dormitory is a relatively young project that is still under construction. Accordingly, there are various opportunities to get involved here - for example in the organization of parties, poker or film evenings and much more. The hall of residence has its own cinema, a gym, a party cellar, a co-working space, a cozy inner courtyard, a large cellar with storage space and a corner for jam sessions - so nobody gets bored here.
The atmosphere between the people here is also very informal. The fact that many people with different interests come together here and you inevitably come into contact with most of them at some point means that it's a great place to make friends if you're new to Cologne, especially if you're coming for a stay abroad.
Da sich das Projekt an Studierende richtet, müsstest du in irgendeiner Form eine gültige Immatrikulationsbescheinigung mitbringen. Schreib mir gern eine kurze Nachricht, wer du bist, was du machst und wie du dir vorstellen kannst, dich in das Leben im Wohnheim einzubringen. Besichtigungen laufen über die Hausverwaltung (die auch selber hier wohnt) immer donnerstags zwischen 12-16 Uhr. Einziehen könntest du ab dem 1.12. Ggf. müsstest du erstmal einen Untermietvertrag abschließen, der aber dann auch perspektivisch in einen dauerhaften Hauptmietvertrag für das Zimmer umgewandelt wird.

As the project is aimed at students, you would need to bring some form of valid certificate of enrollment with you. Please write me a short message telling me who you are, what you do and how you can imagine getting involved in life in the hall of residence. Viewings are organized by the property management (who also lives here) on Thursdays between 12 and 4 pm. You could move in from 1.12. You may have to sign a subletting agreement first, but this will then be converted into a permanent main tenancy agreement for the room.
