We have a room available from January and another from March (~13m2). We first prefer to do a trial period of 3-4 months where we can all see how it feels and in the meantime discuss on the long term aspect :-)
The house is on a quiet and leafy cul-de-sac with friendly neighbors (retirees along with young families). By bicycle, we are 23 minutes from the University of Cologne, 14 minutes from the center of Ehrenfeld, 7 minutes from Rewe, 3 minutes from Netto, 18 minutes from Bauhaus, and 24 minutes from the Dom. By foot, we are 7 minutes from bus routes 141 and 143 (Vogelsanger Markt), and 8 minutes from the Wolffsohnstraße (lines 3 and 4) U-Bahn stop. There is a large park nearby, perfect for running and sports, plus plentiful mixed-use trails through farmland and forest, the suburbs and Ehrenfeld.

Hello!
We have a room available in January, another in March and a couple more during the year. So a lot of movement, but also the possibility to shape the house together! :-)
We're a colourful bunch of people with various jobs, hobbies, schedules... but there is always someone home to spend time with at different times of the day, and we are looking for someone who would see this house not just as a place to sleep, but someone who wants to live together and create a home we can all look forward coming back to. For us, direct and open communication, a friendly and empathetic nature, and a basic sense of cleanliness and environmental awareness are a must.
We put in roughly around 60-80€ per month for groceries, from which we only buy vegan food, and when we cook, we try to cook for everyone. So this also means that maybe you only have to cook once or twice a week, and the other days a warm meal would be waiting for you when you come back home. And although not all of us are vegan or vegetarian, we prefer the new people joining us are, or are at least comfortable with not consuming any animal-derived products at home.
Some of us like to go out together and others like to make music together. So you will find people for joint activities. But of course, you don't always have to join in if you don't feel like it. And as we have a garden, it would be great if you‘d be up for helping out with this too.
We want to give preference to immigrants as there are some additional challenges one has to face for being one and we’d like to combat the lack of international housing communities existing in Cologne. And of course, we want the home to be free from discrimination on any grounds - gender, ethnicity, sexuality, color, religion, financial status, or any other.
