Hi! We're Clara, Max and Nils and we're looking for a new roomie. We're open to internationals and are fluent in English, other languages range from "well only one of us really speaks it" to "hot mess" and "i barely made it through the final exam", so that's not really reliable.
Important info: If you are interested in the room, please write us more than just a few sentences about yourself! We get a large amount of messages every day and we need something to go off of since we can't talk to everyone unfortunately. So yeah, just tell us who you are, what you like about living together with people or how you ended up in Leipzig (:
The room will be free from November 1st, but maybe also a bit earlier. If it's a fit I'm sure we'll figure sth out (: rent includes 6€/month for repairs that might come up/ some other unexpected expense. The room is about 18m² and faces south (Wohnen 18.24 in the floor plan) - so there's lot's of sunshine! The bed, the mattress currently on it, the dresser and the wardrobe are up for grabs - if you want them - perfect! If not, we'll figure something out.

Hi!
The flat is located towards the beginning of the Eisenbahnstraße - a little south actually but at least it's quiet. Pretty much everything is in walking distance (including Rewe, Konsum, Aldi, Kaufland and other small shops like the Korean store or a couple of Arabic supermarkets), as well as some parks where you can play table tennis or find people for people watching. There are also several restaurants as well as the best baklava place in the world just around the corner! I really like it here and if we click - I'm sure you will too!

I know, I know, it's a platitude at this point but yeah, i'll just say it: queer feminism and anti-racism are pretty important to us. Sounds much more pointed than it actually is, haha, but yeah, a common baseline about these things would be positively amazing (: I mean, who wants to have these kinds of fundamental discussions at home, amirite?
We have a cleaning schedule (an infamous Putzplan, you know the type) and would like to continue with that. It's a tool, not a cult so there is certainly room for helping each other out/ flexibility. We just want everybody to feel comfortable (: we also share the groceries we buy (with some exceptions of course) - it ends up being less wasteful and encourages cooking together. We don't usually plan grand activities together but we definitely get stuck talking in the kitchen all the time and that leads to eating or cooking together so I'd say our WG-life is pretty cordial but we also respect everybody's privacy and own rhythm.
Nils (25, he) has been living here for about a year and always has an open ear for you when he is found in the kitchen making himself an espresso or some other snacks. Topics of conversation can be almost anything between music, politics, random rabbit holes in which you get lost, or the new series you are watching. Of course, Nils' free time does not only take place in the shared kitchen but also in other places. He likes to go hiking in the mountains, i.e. the high mountains in Upper Bavaria, or is currently still discovering Leipzig and associated new parks, cafés, or other beautiful places to spend time together with friends. To keep himself reasonably fit, he also likes to ride his bike and discover beautiful places around Leipzig. In everyday life, he studies political science in his master's degree and sees what he can do with it one day (spoiler: it's not Chancellor).
Clara (26, she/her) joined us in April and is currently spending a lot of time in the library working on her master's thesis in political theory. Otherwise, she likes to cook large portions of edamame or potato salad, is politically organised, grows all kinds of plants on our balcony, has her nose in books and likes to do outdoor stuff (hiking in the Saxon Switzerland, skating around the Cossi, ice swimming, bouldering). In general, Clara is in the process of rediscovering Leipzig, as she lived here during her bachelor studies and was away for two and a half years in between. Despite, or perhaps because of, the sometimes hectic pace of life in late capitalism, Clara values the time she spends with her flatmates and is always available for political discussions or daydreaming about utopias in the kitchen.
Max (32, he/him, currently writing this, i mean everyone wrote their own chapter but idk why I am the only one to use the first person? aahhhh whatever haha): I work as a researcher at the HTWK Leipzig, got a background in linguistics and German as a foreign language, went on to bioinformatics and am currently wrapping it all into one in the shape of computational linguistics (If you're wondering how that makes sense - I ask myself the same thing from time to time haha). Other than that, I play a lot of music (mostly piano, usually with headphones), spend quite some time with my robotics team and have a deep-rooted passion for horrendous puns (comes with the linguistics degree, beyond my control), love cooking for people and I'm always 100% down to clown. Oh and I'm the main tenant so you'd be signing a contract with me but that's about the limit of my political ambition (so no chancellorship for me either </3)

The number listed here somewhere is Maxens phone number, text him via Signal (preferably!), WhatsApp (alternatively) or Telegram (unfortunately) or just right here (acceptably). He doesn't really use Telegram so there is a big chance that he might overlook your message there.
We are excited to hear from you, cheers!
