The flat is part of an Vesuvian house. It has 2 big rooms and 3 small ones, a huge living room and big kitchen.
It's situated on the bottom of Vesuvius, even though it takes about 3 hours walking to the top; 20 min. walking to the sea; 2 stops away of Ercolano and 10 stops to Pompeii). Central Napoli is less than 15 by train and the station is 5 min walking distance.
Around the house there are 2 historical parks, pizzerias, ice-cream shops, supermarkets, etc.
About the room, there are actually 2 possibilities:
- one of the small rooms is available (10m2) for 175€/month with utility bills included
- one of the big rooms is as well available due to our travellings during summer time. The room is about 30m2 and the price is 300€/month bills included
Our flat is situated in the center of San Giorgio a Cremano, which is directly connected with Naples (just one street further you are in Naples without knowing).
The train station is 5-6 min walking and needs 10-12 to reach Central Naples, while the bus station is even closer, but it takes longer.
There are supermarket and fresh veggies shops around, bars, fish shops, etc.
The beach is 20 min walking.
We are just on the bottom of Vesuvius and climbing it walking it takes around 3h.
Pompei is less than 30 min by train, while Sorrento around 45 min.
For the last 2 years, since we have the house, people came and left. Students, artists and travelers came by for weeks or months.
Usually at lunch at dinner time we are 5-6 (at least) and most of the times there are more internationals than italians.
Social life is pretty active both inside the house and outside: social games, small concerts, party-dinners, etc...
We can organize via email a skype meeting for more details.
Also you can visit it or live it for a couple of days in advanced as we are as well couchsurfing friendly, but we would like to know for sure when you decided to come.
In the house we are really easy going and in the share mood, so for any logistic issues or disturbing situations, things will be easily solved.
