The apartment is completely equipped with washing machine, dish washer, fully equipped kitchen and living room. There are two bedrooms with independent entrances (you do not need to go through one bedroom to reach the other one). Your room is 23m square with a very wide closet inside. The bathroom has a mid-size bathtub. Important to know, my current flatmate Julian will be taking away the bed, so you will have to get a new one.
There is a hallway that connects the main entrance to the living room with more closet space. You will not have an issue with storage room. We also have a really nice vintage fireplace in a wide and welcoming living room. I am also a plants person but no worries, you do not need to take care of them if you do not want to.
The rent is EUR 570 plus charges. So total rent per month is around EUR 630. This includes all amenities with internet. There is a 3 months deposit (total of EUR 1710) that will be given back to you when you move out again.
You will have your own contract (we will both be in it). We have a friendly landlord that likes to take care of the flat, so he is always available for any need or question we might have.
I live in a 95m square apartment in the 2nd district, next to Nestroyplatz U1, 8 min walk to trams 1 and 2, and 10 min walk to U2. Location is very centric in a lively but quiet neighborhood with lots of restaurants around. It is also between Ausgarten and Prater for those who prefer the greener side of Vienna. The canal is 5 min away and the Karmelitermarkt 10 min away, so lots of options for those who like living the city.
Billa, Spar, Spar Gourmet, Hofer, and Bipa are all at a 5 min walk or less. We even have a cool Asian supermarket nearby if you are into cooking, and the Post Office is also at a few minutes distance.
The apartment is on the first floor, in front of a wide square so it has a lot of light even during the winter and not many neighbors. It is very quiet, you do not hear any car noises despite being very close to Praterstrasse. We do not have access to the elevator but being on the first floor I never had a problem with this.
About you:
I am looking for a flatmate between 26-33 years old, preferably already working or finishing studies, for a stay longer than a year. Even if the apartment is not mine, I treat it as my home, so I really want someone that wants a comfortable and homy living space to take care of. Smoking not allowed in the apartment… Sorry! Welcoming a woman, man, non-binary, gay. It is a free world. You should like a clean place, without being crazy about cleaning, and feel comfortable with having a flatmate. What is important to me is that you are friendly and kind, organized at some degree and like to enjoy the place where you live.
Unfortunately, I do not speak German… But if you speak or communicate in English, Spanish, Italian or French we will have no problems at all 😊
About me:
My name is Mariana, 29 years old from Colombia, moved to Vienna for work around 2 years ago but have been outside my country for 6 years already. I work in an international organization and have been surrounded by different cultures for most of my life, so I look for people that are open minded and looking forward to learning new things. I like cooking, painting, playing tennis and I am a cinephile. I travel quite often so I won’t be at the flat for some short periods. I also work from home 2 days a week so you should be aware of that.
I like sharing time with my flatmates but always respecting your space and privacy. I am always happy about dinner or drinks together once in a while. The house should feel like a home and not as two people just sharing a living space. I like to invite friends over so no problem at all if you want to plan small gatherings with your friends at the apartment.
Although the apartment is already fully furnished and decorated there is still space for your things if you want to bring anything. I might need to buy a new couch since Julian will perhaps take the current one, but this is not problem at all.
Plants, furniture, or decorations always welcomed! We will accomodate everything.
