Due to a project abroad, I am looking for subtenant(s) for my fully furnished apartment in Berlin-Mitte, from 1st March 2025 until 31st July 2025 (or longer).
The apartment is suitable for one person or maximum a couple (who shares one bed) and for the couple the rent is EUR 1500. The monthly rent is "Warm", meaning it includes water consumption, heating, garbage collection, and cleaning of the staircase, as well as the obligatory German broadcasting fee, and the WiFi.
The rent covers as well an average monthly consumption of electricity of a one to two person household .
Please note that the apartment is not suitable for any kind of social events. Parties are explicitly not allowed. Smoking is allowed only on the balcony, as long as it does not disturb the neighbours. Pets are unfortunately not allowed. Removing of any furniture or adding large pieces of furniture is not permitted.
The apartment is located in a quiet street of a lively neighbourhood in the historical Rosenthaler Vorstadt in Berlin Mitte. It is in the second floor of a Quergebäude, facing a very large and beautifully designed back-yard-garden. It consists of a living-room with a large balcony (1,5 x 3,9 m) overlooking gardens of neighbouring houses, a bedroom, a kitchen, a bathroom, and a corridor. The house is very well kept and its community well organised.
The apartment is located in Mitte, in a close proximity to the historical remains of the Berlin-Wall in Bernauer Strasse. Several lively neighbourhoods are literally just around the corner: Acker Strasse / Invaliden Strasse, Brunnen Strasse, Rosenthalerplatz, Zionskirchplatz, Oderbergerstrasse, and Mauerpark... There is a plentiful of bars, cafes and restaurants serving international cuisine. There is the Weinbergspark with its pond close by – a beloved weekend destination. 15 minutes walking distance in south direction there is the famous former Jewish district of Berlin - with its high-end art galleries, bars, designer boutiques, etc.
Metro U8 Bernauer Strasse is three minutes walking distance. The S-Bahn station Nordbahnhof is about eight minutes walking distance. There are also tram stops of several tram-lines just down the street, two of which take you directly to the Central Train Station (Hauptbahnhof). You can get to Prenzlauerberg in less than ten minutes by tram, and to Kreuzberg in ten minutes by metro. Typically for Berlin, the area is well organised with bicycle-lanes. There are several bicycle shops (or rentals) in the neighbourhood and you can safely store your bicycle in the back-yard of the house, below the balcony of the apartment, at no extra cost. Close by there is a premium supermarket located in the historical Ackerhalle open until 11 pm.
The apartment is equipped as follows.
Living room – lots of bookshelves, a piano (which you are welcome to play provided you are a trained musician), two-persons-sofa (NOT convertible), an artwork/oil painting, an old leather armchair, a couch-table and a large desk.
Balcony – a table with two chairs.
Bedroom – a double bed (140 cm wide) with a spring mattress, bedside-table, wardrobe, chest-drawers, iron and ironing desk, laundry hanger.
Kitchen – electric hob with an electric stove, extractor hood, a dishwasher, a sink, a table with two stools, a fridge with a freezer, a side-table with drawers, shelves, French coffee-press, electric water kettle, pans, casseroles, plates, cups and glasses, cutlery, kitchen utensils.
Bathroom – a bathtub with a shower (there is a newly installed shower curtain not visible on the photo, so that you can comfortably have a shower while standing), a sink, a toilet, a washing machine with a dryer, a drawer-chest for your cosmetics, cabinets containing an electric hoover, a mop with a bucket and other cleaning utensils.
Corridor – coat hanger, cabinets for shoes, large mirror, book shelves.
All my personal items (with exception of some books) will be stored away so to make room for your belongings.
IMPORTANT: The tenant is kindly requested to forward me my mail, twice a month, as a registered letter, which requires visiting the post-office in person. Envelopes with stamps will be provided, of course. After posting the letter you need to send me via Whatsapp or e-mail the tracking number of the sending.
If you are interested, please tell me about yourself and the reason you are looking for an apartment. Specifically I need following information: your age, your profession, proof of your monthly income, in case you are a non-EU citizen please state your visa title. Please have understanding that I will only reply to emails containing requested information - thank you.
If you have any further questions, please let me know in your e-mail. Thank you!
