One cozy 11m² room is up for grabs in our lovely 120m² WG near S Beusselstr. It’s small but mighty: a peaceful, west-facing retreat where the afternoon light spills in just right, quiet and peaceful as a Sunday morning, and a blank canvas for your personal touch. It comes unfurnished, so you can fill it with whatever makes you feel at home, though if you’d like, the outgoing roomie can leave behind his 140cm bed for you to inherit. If you’d rather bring your own, he’ll gladly take care of it.
Now, the apartment itself? Bright and spacious, with a huge living room that naturally invites slow mornings, deep conversations, and the occasional existential tea-fueled ramble. We also have a dedicted home-office space.
The essentials are all here, but this is the kind of home that’s always evolving—we love working on DIY projects, rearranging, decorating, finding the best deals on Kleinanzeigen, and making the space feel more like us. If you enjoy adding personal touches to a home, bringing in your own style, ideas, and creative energy, you’ll fit right in.
Moabit is the kind of neighborhood that sneaks up on you in the best way: quiet yet full of life, with everything you need within walking distance. There are supermarkets of all kinds, charming little restaurants, the Arminius Markthalle, and of course, the Spree, where you can sit by the water and forget, just for a moment, that you live in a massive city. The best part? The Ringbahn is only four minutes away. If you’ve lived in Berlin for even a second, you know that’s a game-changer. It’s the perfect balance: connected enough to take you anywhere, but far enough from the chaos to actually breathe.
You’d be living with Tanay and Wassima, two people who appreciate both good company and the sacred art of alone time.
Tanay is 31 and could best be described as a man of many hobbies. Cycling is his main love, but his interests stretch across home-made meals, painting, films, and juggling a 9-5 with creative side projects. He’s the kind of person who values balance—the right mix of chaos and order, shared energy and personal space, spontaneity and structure. He believes a WG thrives when people are on a similar wavelength, transparent, and willing to find common ground while still embracing differences.
Wassima is 27, an early riser with a restless soul, jack of all trades and master of absolutely none. When she’s not maticulously planning, she’s cycling to the lake at a slow, dreamy pace, hiking, or napping in her hammock outdoors. She thrives on late-night stargazing, planetarium shows, and barefoot dances in the sand (at Plötze!). History podcasts, natural sciences, and unanswerable questions keep her curiosity alive. For her, this WG is more than just a place to live—it’s a sanctuary, a soft landing in an unpredictable world, and she greatly values living with people who contribute to that feeling.
If you love making a space feel warm and personal, then we’re already off to a good start. If you see a home as something to nurture, contribute to, and shape together, and if you’re someone who believes in taking responsibility for the space you live in, both practically and socially, you’ll probably fit in well here.
Life here flows in a way that’s easy and natural, like a good conversation or a well-cooked meal shared at the kitchen table. Some nights, we find ourselves lost in laughter, stirring pots of something experimental, or huddled on the couch dissecting a short-film or the latest absurdity of the world. Other times, we rally for spontaneous lake trips, bike rides, museum visits...
This isn’t just a place to crash—it’s a home, a space for people who value connection, warmth, and the simple joy of doing life together. That doesn’t mean we’re in each other’s pockets 24/7; we all have our own rhythms, our own lives. But if you’re someone who yearns for a home rather than just a flat, who loves the idea of coming back to people rather than just walls, and who enjoys both deep conversations and the kind of comfortable silence that only exists between friends, then this WG is for you.
Okay, so what’s the catch?!
Well, in true Berlin fashion, there is no Anmeldung. Yeah, we know. It sucks. We wish it were different, but it’s a landlord thing and completely out of our hands. That being said, you can still receive all your non-governmental mail.
When it comes to the agreement, we like to keep things fair and straightforward. Even though there’s no official contract, we treat it as if there were.
Also, in true Berlin fashion, there is an "Abschlag" (basically a fair split of costs) for the furniture, appliances, and shared space essentials. This WG is still fairly new, and we all chipped in to make it a cozy, functional home. To keep things fair, the outgoing roomie won’t be left covering their whole share alone, which means you’d be sharing the last third of the costs—around €300, give or take. The final cost rundown will be on March 3rd, so you’ll have the exact number soon.
BUT—and this is important— if this is financially tricky, we can absolutely work out a Ratenzahlung (installment plan). Same goes for the Kaution (deposit). Money shouldn’t be the reason you don’t move in! We’d rather find someone who truly fits into the home than let finances be a dealbreaker.
If you’ve read this far, please do start your message with the following catchphrase at the VERY BEGINNING (yes, in all caps): squidward tortellini
All messages without the catchphrase at the very beginning will be deleted immediately.
Other than that, just tell us about yourself! Anything and everything you’d like to share. We’d love to know:
What do you actually enjoy about living in a WG? What makes it feel like home to you?
What doesn’t work for you at all? (We love honesty—if you’ve had past WG nightmares, tell us about them so we don’t accidentally recreate them.)
Some hard facts because time is short!
Move-in date: From March 15 (or at least, that’s when rent starts)
Viewing dates: March 7th, 8th, and 9th: We’d love to meet in person, because vibes are best felt in real life. But if you’re far away, we can make an exception for an online video call.
Invitation to viewings will go out on March 4th & 5th. If you don’t hear from us after that, it sadly means we couldn’t invite you this time 😔
NO COPS! NO AFD!
We're very excited to hear from you! ✨🌿☀️🚴♀️🌎✌️
