I am Mandeep from Nepal.
If you're looking for a short-term stay (Available: Oct 3 - Nov 2 with a possiblity to stay until November end) in a friendly and comfortable space, I am subletting my room for a month since I am going on a vacation. I am offering a cozy, furnished in our 2-bedroom shared apartment.
About the room:
The room is located on the first floor of the house, there is one other room (where the 2nd tenant lives ) and a large bathroom on this floor.
Rent: 512 euros (+103 for utilities including gas, electricity and internet). This is same as what I pay to the main tenant.
Furnishings: Comes with my bed, mattress, table and char. You can also use my closet and monitor if you like.
Bonus: Lots of natural light in the room and a quiet space.
The house is located in a friendly and convenient neighborhood in the Niehl-Nippes area with easy access to public transportation, cafe, restaurants, and supermarket. There is a nearby park and bakery both within walking distance of 5 min. The nearest supermarket is Lidl in about 7-10 min walking distance. The nearest bus/tram station "Niehl Sebastianstrasse" is 5-min walk away. From there you can take the Line16 and reach the central station in 10-12 min. Also there are several options for restaurants/eateries in the area.
Two-person house share in Niehl. Niehl is an old fishing village on the coast of Rhine river, so it seems relatively cozy with lots of families and long-term residents in the area.
About the house:
Single family house currently rented out by the owners to Sebastian as a "Hauptmieter" (Main Tenant).

The house has a large garden with good parking facility and a garage. It also has 2 cellars, one with washing machine & sauna and another cellar for storage. There's additional space for storage in the attic if required. The ground floor has the big living room which is a shared space and a kitchen with dishwasher and refrigerators. You can also choose to spend time in the living room for doing your work or just relaxing, chilling with others. The room you'll be staying is on the first floor. There's also a small bathroom on the ground floor right beside the entrance door apart from the big one on the first floor.
About Us:
You'll be sharing the room with two other friendly flatmates.
Flatmate 1:
Ridhesh is from India who did masters in astrophysics and currently works in data science for an insurance company in Cologne. His room is on the first floor with yours.
Flatmate 2:
Sebastian is from Belgium who is also the "Hauptmieter" or "Main Tenant" of the house. He is a SAP DevOps engineer. Normally he is only there in the house half of the week, he is otherwise at his home in Belgium. He usually spends his time in the in the big living room either working or relaxing, but he sleeps in the next building.
What I am looking for:
Ideally a working professional but students are welcome too.
It'd be great to have someone who is responsible, clean, and friendly, and would fit in well with the easygoing vibe of the apartment.
