am subletting my live-in studio for the summer that I am away. It is perfect for a musician to live and practise in, but I know that many could enjoy living here.
Available from 11th July til 30th October
400 € per month therefor 1000 € for the entire time.
It is 35 m2 (370 square feet) with two big windows, a couch bed, a kitchen sink, fridge hot plate and microwave. It also has a separate bathroom sink with mirror. The bathroom (100 square feet, included in total) is shared with one nice couple and is directly across the hallway. A classy closet to store your belongings and you are set up in a cozy one room studio in a very special place. The building, Haus II, has become a very creative and international community of musicians and other artists in North Prenzlauerberg and is in the same courtyard as the artistic residency project, HomeBase Berlin and a second hand shop. When the musicians are not rehearsing with their windows open, it is a very quiet place, being removed from the street. The front courtyard has a vegetable garden, a pavilion for multi-usage and some parking spaces. The back courtyard is full of sunlight, has more community gardens and a fire pit.
The neighborhood is full of supermarkets 2-5 minutes away by foot. Late night cornershop around the corner as well. A sportsfield with very nice track and multiple fields. For bars and shopping go to Pappelallee for a relaxed walk or Schönhauser Allee for anything else you could possibly need. The famous Mauerpark is only ten minutes away by bike.
Not far from the neighborhood ‘Mitte,’ you get to Alexander Platz via the M2 within 20 minutes, to Rosenthaler Platz within 15 minutes via the M12, and you can walk to the ring Bahn (S41 and S42) and the U2 in ten minutes, both which take you all over the city. To go East – West the trams M13, M10 will take you to Warschauer Strasse which is across the bridge from Schlesisches Tor in the East or to Pank Strasse in Wedding. Basically, it is the ultimate summer residence in Berlin for those who are wise enough to look beyond Kreuzberg and Neukoelln.
