SURROUNDINGS
Schöneberg, Akazienkiez and Winterfeldplatz are lively and friendly places in Berlin with popular restaurants, cafes, stores and a lively art scene. The apartment is close to Goltz- and Akazienstrasse, which are part of the popular Kiez and the famous market around Winterfeldtplatz. On Saturday mornings you can sample delicacies from around the world here. English and German cinemas and theatres are virtually on the doorstep. Also within walking distance is Potsdamer Strasse with its new gallery district, and the Tiergarten is not far away.
SHOPPING
Shopping facilities are within walking distance, around the corner in Grunewaldstrasse is "Penny" and diagonally opposite direction on Martin-Lutherstrasse to the north there is "Edeka".
RECREATION
The Heinrich-Lassen-Park - a green oasis in the city - is located between Belziger-, Dominicus-, Eisenacher- and Hauptstraße. The green space with a playground and lawn is named after the architect Heinrich Lassen. The nearby Wartburgplatz offers a play paradise for children and the Volkspark Schöneberg-Wilmersdorf is only four streets away.
PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION
Good connections to public transport. The Grunewaldstraße bus stop (180 meters), the Eisenacher Strasse subway (200 meters) and the Bayerischer Platz subway station (350 meters) are within walking distance. Barbarossaplatz and Heinrich-Kleist-Park can be reached quickly. Attractively close to the north is Wittenbergplatz (shopping mile Tauentzien / Kurfürstendamm) with KaDeWe and to the south is Steglitzer Schoßstraße. The bustling Kreuzberg and the centre of Berlin can also be easily reached.
