Looking for a small apartment

I write in English because My German is not very strong at the moment. I am am Egyptian doctor currently making a PhD research degree in Neuroscience till I manage to master the German language. Afterwards I will move to the clinic to start my Residency in Neurology. I need a quite apartment preferably in the center of the city with good bus connection. But also flexible if the apartment is good.
Sunlight is necessary to me and the apartment has to be well ventilated. I am not interested in a garage space for now but maybe in the future. Also I am not interested in contacts by agencies and only prefer landlords or landladies to contact me directly.

Personally, I am clean, don't smoke and don't have pets. I work most of the day and will be home only in the evenings. Therefor I will not be a source of noise.
