Es ist ein relativ kleines Zimmer in einer Wohngemeinschaft im 16. Stock eines Wohnheims. Es wurde jedoch vor zwei Jahren frisch renoviert und sieht daher deutlich besser aus als die UZH von außen. Durch die Südlage ist es sehr hell. Es gibt ein eigenes Waschbecken und ein unglaublich gutes Bett. Ich ziehe bereits um, das heißt, das Zimmer wird leer sein – bis auf das Bett, einen Schreibtisch, zwei Regale und einen kleinen Schrank. Falls du möchtest, kann ich dir für den Monat ein Bettlaken ausleihen. Das kleine Zimmer wird jedoch durch das Wohnzimmer und zwei Balkone gut ausgeglichen.

It is a relatively small room in a shared apartment on the 16th floor of a dormitory. However, it was freshly renovated two years ago and therefore looks significantly better than the UZH from the outside. Due to its southern exposure, it is very bright. There is a private sink and an incredibly good bed. I am already in the process of moving out, which means the room will be empty – except for the bed, a desk, two shelves, and a small wardrobe. If you’d like, I can lend you a bedsheet for the month. However, the small room is well compensated by the living room and two balconies.

Die Lage ist absolut zentral. Mit dem Fahrrad bist du in 8 Minuten am Seepark, in 5 Minuten bei Aldi oder Rewe, und zur Mensa (Rami oder Insti) brauchst du nur 10 Minuten. Die nächste Straßenbahnhaltestelle erreichst du zu Fuß in 10 Minuten, und dort fahren alle vier Linien.

The location is absolutely central. By bike, you can reach Seepark in 8 minutes, Aldi or Rewe in 5 minutes, and the cafeteria (Rami or Insti) in just 10 minutes. The nearest tram stop is a 10-minute walk away, and all four lines stop there.

Das WG-Leben ist sehr lebendig. Hier leben 16 Leute, und das merkt man auch – zumindest im Semester. Gerade im April wirst du wahrscheinlich auf deutlich weniger Menschen treffen, vermutlich wegen eines Wechsels auf etwa 8 Personen. Die WG hat aber ein schönes Gleichgewicht aus Nähe und Distanz.

Du kannst jederzeit mit allen ins Gespräch kommen, und sie freuen sich immer über eine kleine Unterhaltung. Wenn du jedoch einen harten Tag hattest und keine Lust auf soziale Interaktion hast, nimmt dir das hier niemand übel.

Ich hoffe, du verstehst, dass ich nicht alle 15 Mitbewohner vorstellen kann, aber du kannst mir glauben, dass es alles super liebe Menschen sind.

The shared flat is very lively. There are 16 people living here, and you can definitely feel it – at least during the semester. In April, you'll likely meet significantly fewer people, probably around 8 due to some moving out. However, the flat has a great balance between closeness and personal space.

You can always start a conversation with anyone you see, and they are always happy to chat. But if you’ve had a tough day and don’t feel like being social, no one will hold it against you.

I hope you understand that I can't introduce all 15 people, but trust me, they are all wonderful and kind individuals.

da es ein Wohnheim ist. ist Strom, Wasser, Internet und Heizung umsonst aber Wlan ist eduroam oder du bringst ein eigegen router mit
