I'm leaving my room for close to month while I'm traveling for work. The room is bright with a lovely view facing the courtyard of the building. For Kreuzberg it's extremely quiet and the room gets more direct sun in the afternoon than in the morning. Furnishings are pretty minimal (there's a bed, a large wardrobe, a shelf, and a makeshift desk). The rest of the flat is roomy and friendly.
The flat is located on Glogauer Str., right across from Görlitzer Park. Görlitzer Bahnhof (U1) is a quick walk, as is Hermannplatz (U7, U8). There are plenty of markets around and it's just a quick walk to the bars on Weserstrasse.
We live in a very social and friendly household. We're all quite busy with, but we make a special point of making the flat very warm and welcoming. We like to cook together, chat, have some wine, etc. The living space is very quiet and respectful, so if you need to work or study at home there is no problem.
