***Only looking for international students of University Tübingen***
A 12 sqm room in our cosy shared flat will become available on 1 April (furnished!).
In order to live here, you must be studying and be enrolled at a university in the area of the Studierendenwerk Tübingen-Hohenheim, as the central registration is done by the Studierendenwerk. You are then allowed to live here for at least three years (there are possibilities to extend your stay).
Two corridors, each with three rooms, lead off from the central kitchen/living room, which can be seen in the photo. Each hallway has a bathroom with shower and two washbasins and a separate toilet. So you share the bathroom and toilet with two other people. In the kitchen-living room there is a large refrigerator and everyone has their own food locker.
Geissweg is close to the Unikliniken Tal and is thus optimally connected to bus line 5 (4min to the Quenstedtstraße stop). Another bus stop with lines 13, 18 and 19 is also nearby (5min - Breiter Weg & Frondsbergstraße). Since the dormitory is still in the valley, it is ideal for cycling and, if you ride slightly downhill towards the city, you can reach the Kupferbau in 3 minutes. Walking is also possible; you can reach Wilhelmstrasse in 10 minutes and the inner city in 15 minutes. It takes about 6 minutes by bus to the Nonnenhaus. It is about 3-4 minutes by bus to the Berg and Morgenstelle clinics. The same applies to shopping facilities, which can be reached by bus in a few minutes. There is also a small farmer around the corner where forgetful students can quickly buy some eggs, pasta, milk, potatoes, etc. on Sundays.
The WG consists of 6 people (Luna, Marie, Valentina, Kevin & Leon). Although our daily routines are very different, we often see each other in the morning in the kitchen for coffee and we always take a lot of time to cook and eat together, play cards, play music or sports or just sit together comfortably. So we are anything but a functional flat-share and are happy to take responsibility together for a cosy and clean flat-share.
In the entire hall of residence, you can also quickly make contacts with the other Wgs and people due to the relaxed atmosphere.
Geissweg is a self-managed hall of residence, which means that we can choose our flatmates ourselves and are not at the mercy of the Studierendenwerk. At the same time, we enjoy the advantages of a hall of residence, such as low rents, free internet access, a music room, a workroom and a party cellar. Each flat also has an international room, which means we always have the pleasure of living with exchange students. At Geissweg, we also try to make it easier for the new flatmates to get to know each other and to strengthen the community by organising summer parties, joint tidying-up events or dinner evenings (hopefully soon again without restrictions!). So it is very welcome if you feel like getting involved, but it is not a must.
If we have piqued your interest, write to us and tell us a bit about yourself. What you like to do, what you study, how you imagine living in a shared flat, etc.
We look forward to hearing from you.
For the casting we will set up an online option.
P.S Reminder: You must be an international student to live here, as we must occupy the international room.
