The 17m² room is rectangular. It has a window on the east side so you will get the morning sun shines while watching the green inner courtyard through the window. You can also get the morning sun on the balcony, from which you can also look at the green inner courtyard. The balcony may be small, but it is still big enough to plant various kitchen herbs or just to relax on the a couple of chairs and a table there. You can reach the balcony from the kitchen, which has everything you need to cook or bake. The kitchen has a dinning table with three chairs where you can sit and eat or meet for a chat.
You don't notice the hustle and bustle of Kesselsdorfer Straße here, so it's nice and quiet. For a short walk in the countryside you can change the side of the street and you are at the Annenfriedhof.
We also have an attic and basement compartment where you can store your bike or other things and there is an extra room with clothes lines in addition to the drying rack in the courtyard. You can park on the street, depending on the time of day with a short or long search.
It takes 7 minutes to walk to the nearest public transport stop, Malterstraße. From there you can take lines 6 and 7 or one stop further on line 12. They actually take you everywhere. Bus line 90 also runs around the other corner.
It only takes you 12 minutes by bike to get to the nearest train station (Mitte or Freiberger Straße) or to the university.
On Tharandter Straße (two stops further) there is the Löbtau Passage and various shops. In addition to Rewe, you also have Kaufland, Netto and Lidl for shopping.
Otherwise you will also find bakers, restaurants and cafés here. For bars and pubs, you can be in Neustadt in 20 minutes with tram line 6. For more shopping you are in 15 minutes at the main station. With these options you are always on the Elbe. For a break in the countryside, you can reach the Annenfriedhof in two minutes. The nearby outskirts in the direction of Dölzschen with a view over the city and the Plauensche Grund is ideal for a walk.
I (Gordon) have been teleworking with my new organization due to Corona and is now moving out to Rome, where the office is located. I am planning to move by 11 October but we can postpone the move-in date until end of the month, depending on how it suits you. Your new roommates will be Arne and Racheal . Arne who is from Germany is doing his training with the Telekom company in Dresden. He is often out for his training during the working days of the week. Arne is also visits his family over the weekends and he is probably out of the flat on some weekends. Racheal is from Ghana and she is currently finalizing her master thesis in the TU Dresden while combining with mini jobs. She just joined the flat.
It's usually pretty quiet in the flat. The kitchen has been our meeting point, where we chatted together. There was also cooking together, but rarely. Instead, there is sometimes sharing of food or food stuffs between ourselves which is not obligatory.
If that appeals to you, feel free to get in touch and if you bring fresh impetus into the flat, all the better!
The room is available from 20 July but the move-in date is flexible until end of July.
Just write a message with some information about yourself and I will try to answer quickly. The best way to get in touch is by email () or text message. We can offer you an online viewing, but you are also welcome to visit the flat in person.
