THE BASICS: 
- big bright room - ca. 24 sq meters, altbau with high ceilings
- simply furnished
- 2. floor, front building / street view
- elevator to 1,5 floor
- 3-person flatshare
- 1 toilet / bathroom (with shower and bathtub)
- you can use appliances, cooking pots & dishes (there is no dishwasher)
- the kitchen and all devices are basic, but you could bring your own
- no living room or storage
- smoking only in the room, but preferably not in the flat
- no pets
- having guests stay over has to be previously agreed on (this includes family, bfs or gfs, friends)
- rent incl. all monthly costs
- additionaly sharing costs for cleaning necessities
- 1000 € security deposit
- 50 € fee to the house management company (Hausverwaltung) for the official registration permit  
- first 3 months rent is to be paid in advance (in the first week of October) after that like usual, every month

The room will be rented exactly like it is in the pictures. Right now it is still being used for work purposes and will have some other stuff in it too.

Please note that all the furniture is older and has signs of use.

The house is on the corner of Warschauer and Kopernikus Str. It is a busy area, so if you are very noise-sensitive, this might not be the best for you. When the windows are closed, most of the noise is muted though.  We are in the heart of the vibrant lower Friedrichshain area, very close to a lot of good restaurants, cafes, bars, clubs, karaoke… where you can feel the pulse of the city. The area is very well connected to other parts of the city, with the S- and U-Bahn train stations just 7-10 minute walk away, tram station 1-2 minutes away. There are grocery, organic and late night shops as well as pharmacies and bakeries close by.

I am the main tennant, 42, originally from Slovenia and have been living in Berlin since 2010. I’m pretty calm, but there is usually some music playing in my room (at reasonable volume). I sell vintage fashion online. I am also working on new creative projects.

My flatmate is 34, originally from France. He is learning German at the moment and looking for a job as a software developer.

We are both quite busy, so it would be ideal if you are too. We are home a lot at the moment (working & studying) that is why we are ideally looking for someone who does not work from home (for practical reasons), but it all depends on compatibility and communication.

We are gay/straight/whatever :) and vegan/vegetarian and we are looking for someone who will not prepare meat dishes at home.

Socializing all together would probably need to be planned. We can have occasional dinners, do sport or other activities if we have similar preferences. We should be able to determine compatibility in the 6-month trial period.

There are doors between the rooms but they are isolated and locked/blocked.

Open and honest communication is essential.

If you think we could be a good match, tell me what makes you think so, and tell me about yourself, what you do, about your lifestyle, why you are in Berlin… Please write in English as it is the preffered language in the flat. I can already say that other French or Slovenian people will not be considered, because I want to avoid speaking those languages in the flat (with 1 person not understanding the other 2).
