Hi! I will be visiting friends in Mexico from 23.12.2024 to 16.01.2024, and am subleting my beautiful, sunny room, perfectly located in the heart of Kreuzberg.
The room is quite large (22 sqm) and has really high ceilings and very tall windows, what means it is bright and sunny all day (I mean, when the sun even shows up in the sky, it is winter in Berlin afterall haha). Its orientation to the West gives you beautiful afternoons while also protecting you from direct sunlight to the face in the morning. Being an Altbau, also means thick walls and great insolation (other than the charm, of course). The room has a really nice wooden floor and stucco ceilings and is fully furnished with what you see in the pictures - I know it looks like tiles in the pictures, but the floor is indeed wood, just cut in a uncommon manner for some reason haha
The room is in a 3er WG, with a nice kitchen (see last picture), hallway and bathroom shared with two other people.
The flat is located in the best area of Kreuzberg, and I absolutely love it. It is super central and well connected, so perfect for a temporary stay. Here are some of its great advantages:
Less than 5 min walk:
- U Mehringdamm (U6/U7)
- U Möckernbrucke (U1/U3/U7) – Yes! You will be living between two metro stations and directly connected to four of the most important metro lines in Berlin!
- REWE and EDEKA, both supermarkets literally around the corner. Also three different options of BioMarkts, all extremelly close by.
- Stops for many nightbus lines sich as the M19, N1, N2, N3 and N6
- Park am Gleisdreiek – My favorite park in Berlin!
- Mehringdamm and Yorckstraße, with all its shops, cafés, bars, etc.
- Asian shops, Pharmacies, Bakeries, and even a Cinema.
Less than 10 min walk:
- U Gleisdreiek (U2) – if four metro lines weren’t enough, have one more
- LIDL, ALDI and Netto, if you are more into cheap supermarkets haha
- Viktoriapark, with the beautiful hill that gives Kreuzberg its name
- Bergmannstraße and the Bergmannkiez, famous for its restaurants, bars, cafés and liveliness
Also within waking distance to the S1, Tempelhofer Feld and the whole city center and its turistic spots (Potsdamer Platz, Checkpoint Charlie, etc.). The flat is extremely well connected so you can easily get wherever you want to.
The neighborhood in itself is also pretty chill, full of trees and nice people, and even though it is super close to all the excitement, Großbeerenstraße in itself is small and quiet, so you have the perfect amount of silence and privacy.
The flat is shared with my flatmates Cynthia, from Argentina and Zoé, from France. They are both super nice prople, carrying and respectful. They will for sure be nice to you and I hope you are also nice to them :).
We don’t accept people who are racist, homofobic, misoginistic, or anything of the sort. So please just be a decent human being and you should fit in nicely.
Well, if my room sounds interesting to you, please hit me up! I’m looking for somebody who will treat it well and be respectfull of my stuff, my flatmates and neighboors, so if you could briefly introduce yourself in a message that would be great. Please start the message with the word “purple” just so I know you read this to the end ;).
There is obviously no Anmeldung, since it is a sublet.
Ps: I have some plants (a couple more now than the ones in the picture) and I would hate to see them dead when I’m back. They are super easy to take care of, but lets say it is a basic requirement that you are capable of watering some plants once a week or so haha.
