I am renting a 23 sqm room in a flat that has a big living kitchen, a bathroom and another bedroom.
This is a temporary rental during my maternity leave, I will make space but my personal belongings will remain, so it's best if you don't come with much decoration and other things that require space :)
The flat is my little cocoon, I own it and I have renovated it all by myself a few years ago, with the help of some specialists: electricity, heating, bathroom, massive wood floors, walls, ceilings etc etc.
There is an equipped kitchen with beautiful new kitchenware, dishwasher, washing machine, coffee machine, boiler, induction stove, oven, microwave oven, "quick" hoover, "strong" hoover, iron, and much more! The radiators are controlled via app and the heating is adjusted whenever you or your flatmate leave home.
Your room is my own room, I have furnished it with a lot of love. The mattress is from Emma, super comfortable! There is also a wide desk and chair, a comfortable sofa and a full-body mirror. There will be two wardrobes and an extra clothes rack to store your belongings.
The room faces a quiet street and a big tree. The access to the balcony is from this room, although it is a space your flatmate can access too (in theory, but in practice she doesn't). I must say there is some construction happening on the opposite side of the flat, but the modern double windows work well, and the workers are not very active anyway (probably why they are not done although they should be).
The location is great! The flat is located in the trendy Schillerkiez, in a quiet street between 2 parks: Hasenheide and Tempelhofer Feld and just 5mn walk from Boddinstr. U-Bahn! There are friendly neighbours as well as lots of cafés, restaurants and bars nearby.

My current roomate (which means yours too 🙂 ) is from Chile, she is 33 and a teacher. She has an early schedule as she wakes up around 5:30 am to go to work, and then she goes to bed early. She speaks German fluently, but also English and Spanish of course! I think she's a great flatmate, super friendly, quiet, clean, also vegan... we are looking for someone with a similar attitude to share the flat!
I hope you can keep the same ambiance at home: a pretty quiet flat without parties, clean and tidy, where we spend time together but also give each-other space! We keep the heating at just 19 degrees, following official recommendations, and we generally make efforts to save energy and recycle.
As you will notice, the flat is optimised for cats, as I have 2 cats. I will take them with me but leave all the cat nets etc installed is so it is easy when we come back. I clean the flat very often, but there is still cat hair in hidden places, which could be a problem if you are allergic.
One more thing: I also have lots of plants inside and on my balcony, that I hope you, together with my current flatmate, can keep alive until I get back 🙏🏼
I am French by the way! When I come back from my maternity leave I won't be able to fix and clean everything like I sometimes did, so I am looking for someone careful who will take good care of the flat.
Anmeldung is possible. Each flatmate will pay for half of the TV tax (not included in the rent).
I am looking for someone to replace me during my whole absence, but it is also good to know there is an exit possibility: the notice period is 2 months.
The price you will pay includes the rent, the Nebenkosten from the building, the flat's electricity, gas and internet, as well as a household contents insurance that can also cover your bike! On your end, you will need to have a private liability insurance.
