I’m subletting a room in a cozy 2-person WG (56 sqm) starting immediately (preferable start by October 1st). The sublet comes with a one-year contract, with a likely option to extend.

The room itself is not furnished, but it has a built-in open closet (Offener Kleiderschrank). The shared living room is fully equipped with a sofa, dining table, and shelves, plus a kitchenette and small storage room. There's no balcony, but the space is airy and welcoming.

Rent is €650/month (warm) and includes all utilities. A deposit of €1500 is required upfront, which will be returned in full at the end of the contract provided everything’s in good condition.

The apartment is located on the 4th floor (no elevator) and overlooks a quiet courtyard (Hinterhof). It is situated at the crossroads of Mitte and Prenzlauer Berg, just 2 minutes from the U2 (Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz). It’s a 10-15 minute walk to Alexanderplatz, Rosenthaler Platz, and Hackescher Markt—surrounded by great restaurants, cafes, boutiques, and plenty of grocery options (Rewe, Edeka, Bio Company, etc.). Lovely bakeries are just down the street too.

Something about Me:
I’m Nikola, 36, a research assistant at TU. I’ve been living in this apartment for a year now after living in Berlin over the past two years. I’m pretty active—spending my time outdoors, reading, or with friends when I’m not working. I also travel occasionally and value the apartment as a peaceful retreat when I’m home.

About You:
I’m looking for someone responsible, friendly, and respectful. Ideally, you’ve already had some WG experience and value clear communication and a sense of order—keeping shared spaces clean and organized is important to me. I hope to create a living atmosphere of mutual respect and ease.

It’s important that you’re LGBTQ+ friendly, open-minded, and mindful. Ideally, you don’t work exclusively from home. If you speak German, it would be fun to practice together! It’d be helpful if your profile gives a little insight into your personality and habits.
