As our roommate Pedro is moving out of Germany, a small room in our big house becames available! You can make it feel very cozy due to its high ceilling. It is positioned away from the other bedrooms in the apartment so it can give you some extra privacy. If you want to make your move in easier, you can also takeover all the furniture already in place. Some things can stay for free but others Pedro would like some money for it (would be cheap, he promises).
The rent price is approximately 485 euros (exact value to be confirmed by Jonathan in the next few days)
Located in a small urban street in a residential area, which makes it quiet for the most part. The Schloßstraße in Steglitz is within 15 minutes walking distance. 10 minutes on foot from Heidelberger Platz Ringbahn station. 3 minutes from Rüdesheimer Platz (U3) subway station.
It is a very nice area for walking. Throughout the summer there is a wine festival at Rüdesheimer Platz. Due to the area being quiet, you can walk 10/15 min to the next bars / restaurants.
Laid back WG life! We like to watch the occasional movie together and share an oregano cigarette. The flat share was originally formed out of a group of school friends who first lived nearby in another apartment and then moved into this apartment six years ago. Since then, people have moved in and out from time to time, and living together has always been characterized by good friendships, open communication and solidarity. It is very important to us that all flatmates feel very comfortable and safe, that the WG offers a safe space, in which we can trust each other. We like to organize big parties in between (2-3 per year), with Halloween standing out in particular because we have somehow managed to get 98% of people to dress up.
Jakob and Jonathan know each other from their time at university and share Hobbies like Anime, Videogames, Weed and the constant fight against the oppressive, capitalistic patriachy. Maggie is the most recent arrival in our flat as she moved in about 3 months ago. Together we love spending times cooking/eating together, watching movies or playing boardgames. Jonathan spends most of his time streaming as a political commentator and gamer, Maggie finished up her studies in Italy and just started to work in Berlin and Jakob is working on his own company, while trying to finish up his long-overdue studies as well. While all of us are cishet, we are LGBTQIA+ allies and in general rather leftist, so we would prefer someone with similar values. Toxic masculinity is something we find repulsive.
We share the cleaning responsibilities. We have a very open feedback and learning culture, so if there is anything you want to address we are always willing to listen to each other. The flat is owned by one of the flatmates parent, so it is long-term. All three of us are working from home occasionally, so you will find us home and awake at pretty much any time of day :D
