The room is furnished and is located in a big apartment. It has the basics: a bed (individual, but extends to 1.60 m). It is a very comfortable bed. The room includes a desk, shelves and hangers for storage, a mirror, and lamps. It gets the midday sunlight, and with its yellow curtains, you‘ll feel like you‘re in the middle of summer.
About the apartment: it‘s a very big apartment. The kitchen is fully equipped; we have a washing machine and even a KitchenAid! The living room is very spacious, with a big table, a cosy sofa, and a projector for movie nights.
We are located at the heart of the vibrant Schillerkiez. The Ubhan U8 Boddinstr. is a 4-minute walking distance. Buses like the M43 or 166 have a bus stop 2 minutes walking distance away.
For doing groceries, we have many options: the closest grocery store is across the street, a family-run bio-laden. Lidl is at the corner, but if you prefer Aldi, it’s also nearby, just two blocks away. Edeka is a 3-minute walking distance, and for bigger supermarkets, there‘s a Rewe 10 minutes walking distance or a Bio Company also 10 minutes walking distance. Eurogida is also nearby. Every Saturday there’s a farmer‘s market in the church‘s square, with many local products or stands that serve warm food.
We have lots of entertainment in our neighborhood: if you like to go to the movies, the Rollberg Kino is right around the corner. The Genezareth church offers many interesting events, from concerts to performances to pop-up wedding events. There are plenty of restaurants from all over the world, with delicious food and affordable prices, and the same goes for the offers of cozy cafés where you can bring your laptop if you need to work or a book for leisure. There are many bakeries with a diverse selection. If you’re a night owl, the neighborhood provides many bars with billiards and board games; some offer nice cocktails, or you can also dive into the typical Berliner Kneipes.
Nearby we also have the magnificent Tempelhofer Feld, the gem of our neighborhood, an old airport now being used as a park where almost everything is allowed. If you are searching for nature nearby your home, you can also find this in the foresty park of Hasenheide.
Just ask us anything, but rest assured, once you are in our hood, it will be difficult to leave it!
Hello, we are Helena and Harry, a married couple living in this neighborhood for 10 and 5 years, respectively. We are both teachers; we have fixed schedules, and when our days are long, we like to chill by watching a movie, playing board games, or playing music.
We are both music enthusiasts; we have one room in our apartment dedicated to that: Harry is a vinyl collector and DJ, and Helena mixes digital music and plays the piano. We like to use this room as a creative and playful space, where you are also welcome to use and join!
We like to cook and are vegetarians. We like our apartment to be tidy, have a lot of plants as well, and we like to take care of them and like to engage in different projects. We also socialize quite often and like to have people over for dinners, games, or jamming sessions.
We are looking for someone that is cheerful and calm, works but not always from home, and likes to socialize. We think cleaning is a very important part of living together, so someone that cleans after themselves and also takes action in the common areas of the apartment (kitchen or bathroom).
