Hello you!
One of our roommates is leaving at the end of December and we are looking for a new roommate to take over his room.
No anmeldung possible! There is no limitation of time regarding the rental of the room. Of course, living together has to be a pleasant journey and make sense.
Furniture:
- the room has some furniture,
- the common area has a share furniture for which you will be asked to participate (see below),
Others:
- your room has direct access to the balcony (FYI we dry the clothes on the balcony but it is big enough)
Costs:
- 800 euro per month for the rent (including internet, heat, etc.),
- 2x rents for the deposit, reimbursed at the end of the rental if no issue on the flat,
- 100 euro one time to be paid as a participation for the common area furniture and accessories,
- 20 euro per month to be paid for the common things (toilet paper, salt, olive oil, washing machine and cleaning products).
The flat is located 5 minutes walk from Tempelhofer Feld. The U6 is 3 minutes walk and the S-bahn (Ringbahn), 5 minutes. It is really convenient. It's a quiet street. The room is facing Sud-West and overlooks a inner courtyard which is very quiet.
Lidl is 4 minutes walk too, as all the convenience stores, etc. Viva Berlin.
The most important thing for us is to have a great match (personality, way of living and vibes).
My name is Marie 🚺(28 years old, Swiss - French part). I'm the main occupant of the flat. I'm half an artist, half a "normal" working person. When I'm at home, I spend my time singing/playing the piano, recording, or reading. I love to cook but don't always have the time to do it every day. When I'm out, you can find me at some impro, Musical impro, yoga, tango or jam events. I'm a curious, lively and open-minded person, loving adventures and learning about life. I'm also into self-development, women's circle, etc. (I feel like you know everything about me haha).
The 2nd roommate, Mark 🚹(29 years old, German) is a lovely person and an excellent chef. He likes to cook, read and play the guitar.
We are not looking for a twin sister/bro nor a ghost. We'd love us to be align on the vibe, live our own lives but being able to support each other through the craziness of Berlin and life and create a safe and homy sweety vibe ✨🤗. Don't feel pressured to share meals/or sth else together, allow yourself to have your moments of introversion when needed, but let's try to share a few moments/relationship and not become those avoiding roommates, crossing each others' path once in a moonlight.
⚠️ The next paragraph is a bit lengthy. The truth, we are very transparent people and want us (you included!) to feel well. We want you to have as much info as possible to be able to project yourself into this flatshare if you feel like it resonates with you. Of course, this is an evolving situation, you will bring with you your unicity and we'll do the same and collaborate. 🤗
Way of living📖:
- Flat's values 😇: communication (let's talk through anything that matters at any point in a constructive way, we're not perfect, let's make it a pleasant growing and collaboration experience), respect, empathy, adaptability, open-mindedness,
- Flat's vibe 🫨: We are in our late 20ies, so a quiet flatshare is a happy home for us (no party at home, no smoking inside the house/room, no loud noise after 10pm, being quiet in the common area, no crazy loud music in your room, etc.), sorry :D
- External people🫕: If we invite someone, we ask the other roommates first if this is ok and try to accommodate so everyone has their space. As the common area and rooms are small, more than 1 invitee can feel overwhelming (you will see it for yourself),
- Strict rule👟: No shoes inside! We love dirty Berlin, but in its streets only!
- Tidiness🧹: Common areas are expected to be tidy and cleaned after use. So no clothes everywhere, clean the dishes/pans/etc. right after use, etc.
- Cleanliness🧽: Participation in the cleaning of the house is wanted. We are not a crazy cleaning person, but removing hair after taking a shower, emptying the trash before it smells, vacuuming the common areas 1x per week, cleaning the bathroom and kitchen on a regular basis or 1x/week is needed. We take turns, let's communicate and do it in a comfortable way,
- Cooking🍴: No metallic object into the pans, etc. we just bought new equipment,
- Bathroom & kitchen🪟: After a shower or during cooking, opening the windows is appreciated,
- Respect🙏🏼: We try to respect as much as possible everyone's space (no loudness that could be avoided, tidiness, fridge's spaces, etc.),
- ✨ If you read till here, please insert the magic password into your introduction "Mozart" and please let me know about you, what make you vibrate, what you are looking for in a flatshare, etc. Let's be honest. we know finding a room in Berlin is a nightmare but living with the wrong people can be another one too,
- Music 🎵: As we play an instrument and sing, if you hate that you might not feel very well here. If you're a musician or so, you might enjoy it even way more,
- Languages 🤌🏼: German (Mark is fluent and I'm trying to learn it, made it till B2, but continuous learning feels amazing), English, French, Italian (un po'), Spanish (un poco) would be fully to partially understood. Happy to learn a new language along the way!
- Internet 🛜: Only legal use of internet please!
This is a non-smoker flat. However, if you feel like it, there is a nice place in the inner courtyard, on the balcony (if you close the window and clean the rest of cigarettes, etc.) or at the entrance of the building. :)
If you are allergic/don't like cats, this might not be the best place for you.
We might not be able to answer all messages but will value efforts and genuine interest into this flatshare. A few potential roommates will be invited to meet, see the vibe and discover the flat.
