Beautiful room available for rent for 5 month from February until June for a monthly rate of EUR 690,00 (warm).
It is very bright, on the first floor and has a beautiful balcony facing the street, it has parquet flooring and original stucco. It's rented furnished, with bedding, closet and table. So you only need to come with your suitcase. :)
We are looking for someone who will be in Berlin for this period with a purpose, perhaps on a scholarship or something similar. Preferably someone who is involved in the cultural sector as we are a filmmaker and an art historian living here (not exclusive though).
We do expect you to take part in general household tasks (actually self-evident but better said again ;-) and water the plants in your room and balcony.
We also have some no's:
No party tourism, no possibility to bring your own furniture, no renting to couples, no "Anmeldung" possible.
The flat is in a prime location on Sanderstrasse between Kottbusser Damm and Hobrechtstrasse. The popular Reuterkiez neighbourhood is the upper tip of Neukölln that juts out into Kreuzberg.
The underground station "Schönleinstrasse" is two minutes away and the canal "Maybachufer" (with a weekly market on Tuesdays and Fridays) is a five-minute walk.
Everything you need is close by in the neighbourhood. The surrounding paks and green areas invite you to relax, and there is a wide choice of bars and restaurants.
If you need “Yerba” for your mate, or cornflour for your arepas, you will find it in the shop just downstairs ;-)
Briefly about us: we are two women in our 30s. We mainly speak Spanish in the shared flat, but are fluent in English too. My flatmate is from Patagonia, Argentina, and I'm German-Argentinean. We both work in the cultural sector and often work from home.
The flat is a three room "Altbau". We share the bathroom and kitchen. The kitchen is our common space where we like to spend time together, we occasionally cook together and swap ideas. But in general we are quite calm and if needed, we also take our time and space for ourselves. Mutual respect and privacy are very important to us, as well as laughing and sharing some good time together.
More then a WG, this is our home and we'd appreciate a flatmate that wants to join us honoring personal space, respect and good communication.
If you feel that you vibe with these descriptions, drop us a massage and tell us a bit about you and your plans in Berlin! :)
