The bedroom is 12.56m2 with a good size window looking out to the front side of the property. The room is technically unfurnished, but as I will no longer need the furniture that I purchased for it (bed, mattress, wardrobe) I am open to selling it to whoever moves in for a fair price. The room (and the apartment in general) is quite warm as it is on the 3rd floor of a newly built and well insulated apartment building. The room does have underfloor heating, but it very rarely needs to be used.
The kitchen/living area is spacious with a large corner sofa and TV. The kitchen is also fully equipped, including a dishwasher. There is a balcony off the kitchen which gets nice evening sun. It is big enough to add a table and some chairs if desired. The apartment also has very good Wi-Fi.
There are two bathrooms in the apartment, one is en suite and the other is a bigger bathroom which two of us share.
In the basement there are units which can be used for storage (boxes, suitcases, unused furniture etc), as well as underground parking. The building also has an elevator which makes moving in very easy!
The surrounding neighbourhood is quiet with quite a lot of families living here.
There is a bus stop right next to the apartment which connects you to the Storkowerstr. ringbahn station. The Lichtenberg S+U station is around 8 minutes walk. The Edeka and Rossman at the station also open on Sundays!
There is a bigger Edeka, a Lidl, a Penny and a DM all within 10 minutes walk and a Rewe which is around 15 minutes away by foot.
The current flatshare consists of me (Kate, 24), Chidinma (29), and Annmary (32). The atmosphere in our flat is very peaceful and easy-going. Generally we are all busy doing our own things, but when we are all home in the evening we chat or watch something on TV together. The girls like to go out with friends on weekends and also travel quite often. But day to day they live a pretty chill lifestyle. They are both software engineers and work from home mostly. In the mornings/evenings they like to go to the gym or for walks.
Our flat is very welcoming, so having friends over for dinner/drinks or to stay for a few nights is always fine, we just let each other know in advance and make sure that our guests respect the space :)
We have a simple cleaning plan in the flat - every weekend one of us takes a turn to clean the kitchen and living room , and Annmary and I take turns to clean our bathroom.
The rental cost of 800 EUR per month includes everything, there are no additional costs on top of this.
