The room is a spacious 25sqm with two large windows that let in plenty of light and a private balcony where you can relax. It’s fully furnished with a TV, a comfortable sofa, a desk, a large bed, and a few plants that you’ll need to water. Although the flat is located on the 5th floor, it’s easily accessible thanks to an elevator. While there’s no separate living room, the room itself is large enough to entertain guests or enjoy a quiet evening at home.

The flat is located in Charlottenburg/Halensee, a peaceful residential neighborhood characterized by its beautiful historic buildings. Despite its quiet charm, the area is superbly connected: it’s just off the Kurfürstendamm, with both the Ringbahn and bus stations nearby. You’ll also find plenty of shopping options, including Edeka, Aldi, and a kiosk, as well as several restaurants, two döner shops, and a variety of bars, all within a five-minute walk.

I’m Yannik, 26 years old, and a computer science student. Over the next five months, I’ll be in Barcelona for my Erasmus exchange, so you’ll have the pleasure of sharing the flat with Tushar and Aziz.

Tushar, or “Tush,” is 30 and holds a master’s in Development Economics from HTW Berlin. He’s the producer and host of a South-Asia focused podcast for The Diplomat, an American foreign policy magazine. Tushar loves reading—especially about history and geopolitics—and is always on the lookout for interesting events and bars nearby. He’s also keen to learn more about German politics and current affairs.

Aziz is 22 and currently studying Business Mathematics at TU Berlin. However, his real passions lie in finance and rugby. When he’s not analyzing market trends or competing on the rugby field, Aziz enjoys discovering Berlin’s vibrant bar scene, particularly in the city’s east side.
