Hi there! I'm Dáire, from Ireland and I'm moving to Bochum at the start of May, and I'm currently looking for somewhere to live!

About me: I'm 28 and I'm moving to Bochum to start a job / PhD at the IFHV, a research institute associated with RUB. I have lots of experience living in shared accommodation (in Ireland, the Netherlands and Spain) and am friendly, tidy, considerate, and respectful as a housemate. I like to be sociable in my house, through hanging out in common spaces and eating together for example, but I am also very respectful of people’s privacy and relaxation time. In terms of hobbies, I am big into music, climbing, the outdoors, and discovering nice little spots in the city, so if you share any of them, I’m sure we’ll get on 😊

I will be in Bochum for a few years so ideally I would find a house or room I can settle in and make a home. Financially, I will have a monthly salary, and my contract is for 3 years, so I have a very stable financial situation with which to fulfil my financial obligations as a tenant.
