Looking for a flatshare from March-April onwards :)

Hi everyone,

I'm Vilna, a 31 year-old Finn and I'm currently finalizing my doctoral thesis in the Finnish Meteorological Institute in Helsinki. I'm moving to Bonn in the spring for a few years to start a new job in the University of Bonn which I'm very excited about :)

I'm looking for a shared apartment preferably within a 30-minute bike ride from the city center, with a moving date somewhere around March / early April. Ideally, I would like to move in on April 1st but March is certainly negotiable. I generally love to socialise with my flatmates and would appreciate if the apartment wasn't just a "Zweck-WG" . I'm a quite good cook and enjoy making food for myself and others. To me, the bonus side of living together with other people is that you can bake whatever you want and there's always someone to eat the leftovers :D Other than that, I enjoy for example board game evenings or just hanging out but I'm also fine when everyone wants to spend time by themselves.

Outside work, I tend to spend my free time playing music, cycling or dancing and I'm very easily (some, such as my thesis, would say too easily) persuaded to do anything that involves hanging out with friends. While I don't have any pets, I'm very good with dogs, so having one (or three) in the apartment is not a problem! As a flatmate, I'm quite flexible and careful with keeping common areas clean and comfortable. I do think it's important to have a good and open communication about everyone's wishes in a shared apartment.

While I've lived most of my life in Finland, I have briefly lived in Bern, Switzerland during my geography studies. My German did not unfortunately (nor unsurprisingly) improve there but I have studied it in school for several years and hope to become more fluent during my stay in Bonn. I don't expect my flatmates to teach me German but if you want to laugh at my mispronounciations, I'm happy to have a chance to practice with you!
